THIS week I bought

Mike Oldfield would have been the icing on the cake but unfortunately no he’s not. It’s conducted and arranged by his “long term collaborator” Robin Smith. The trailer looks brilliant. Enjoy your listen.

I believe existing installations are exempt, who's to know the date when it was installed ?
(even though this one is excempt for other reasons)
When the regs were changed the colouring scheme for the wires was also changed. So in theory that will show the age of the installation. Unless of course you have a reel of the old flex saved in your garage.

I've still got some red and black twin and earth in the garage 1.5mm and 2.5mm( ran out of the 3/029 and 7/029 a while ago)

This week I bought a pair of awning foot plates so our rock pegs can be used as the Thule canopy’s holes are the same size and get clogged when removing the pegs.

Ive made and used them for years, brilliant in the mud when pegs wont hold and great on hard ground. THESE

Can I ask which ones you bought ?
I bought the Fiamma ones Wizz in the end as their holes were best suited to my rock pegs. Got them from Here and if you look on their website they may give you a pop up with 5% off. I didn’t get it when I actually bought them ☹️ probably because I didn’t accept the offer at the start of browsing. Y friend has used them for many years and had no problems. Came with pegs too, not that I would use those.

Congratulations enjoy, and dont stress the little things means you can have a Christmas in the van :xwink:

I bought a dewalt impact driver from screwfix. £49.99 down from £99.
Bare unit ( no battery).
£109 in b&q

A few months ago, I too bought a Dewalt impact driver with nearly 1000lb torque, cost me £376

Yesterday I purchased from Brickwerks, a refurbishment kit for the gear shift linkage on my 1989 T25 VW Camper.

Nowt so far.
Tried this am to get gifts for HRHs birthday soon. Nowt. Hate shopping. Can there be anything worse (other than sun bathing) than shopping.

Emptying the loft where you can't stand up, crawl on hands and knees. Been in there 3 times already in the past week. Had to empty one side when we had new boiler. Management instructed that bet if we empty and get rid of stuff. Nearly there now. On plus side got previous lounge telly out and can now watch World Cup whilst decorating.

Didn’t have to buy it but my driving licence came with the postman today after 8 months😱 so can now drive my bright orange car legally.
That's depressing. Sent mine off a month ago and I'm going to need it for overseas travel. Can't get away with a Section 88 south of Dover.

Has that not improved since the Ombudsman criticized them some weeks ago?

It's OK if there are no medical issues, otherwise you are at their mercy.
Sent off my renewal for HGV C+E complete with medical. Took about six days to return but I have an active driver CPC. Don't know if that makes a difference as they may think you need the licence for work (which I do occasionally).

I dont think this makes any difference, they are working to the approach of get new incoming done as they arrive and work on the back log as they go along.

I remember speaking to someone in the airline industry about flight delays one plane had gone tech and the passengers were stranded another came in and left on time

The thoughts were, the delayed passengers were already unhappy and going to complain, so the later flight left on time with happy people while the earlier passenger stood and watched

only one lot of complaints to deal with and one lot of compensation to pay out

I do remember reading, in one of the haulage trade mags that still get sent to me, that HGV & PSV licences do take some precedence because of the shortage of working drivers but that was a few months ago during Covid, perhaps it has now changed but I doubt it?

Bought a pair of language translating earbuds as I find with being dyslexic I struggle with learning foreign languages, so
hopefully, these will eliminate the poor pronunciation of the few words I do know and a lot of the usual finger pointing. :giggle:
