THIS week I bought

ah but this is a single fan that doesn't fit on or near the vents, it fits to the back of the fridge itself about half way down.
Being centrally positioned Paul, I'm not sure how that is going to be able to sufficiently draw enough warm air out to the atmosphere. :whatthe:

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Well it's designed for the fridge so Im assuming it'll do the job it's intended for. I believe the idea is to increase circulation draw from the bottom vent toward the top vent as opposed to needing 2 fans at the top to pull air all the way from the bottom vent, plus I believe its not as much in the way of normal air flow when it's not on ?

I wish you luck with the Dometic kit and fear you might need it as many Funsters struggle with keeping absorption fridges on our vans cool in hot weather
and have installed our own fan setups, this mine, 3 x 140mm fans.

It doesn't matter how many fans are fitted, in fact on my previous moho I made up my own bank of four smaller fans and fitted inside the top vent. The idea is to draw extra air up over the fridge cooling fins and help extract the heat out of the top vent.

However, as your kit is apparently designed for your particular fridge I assume it will be fitted horizontally and shouldhave some effect.

To my mind it just seems to be so much complicated to fit as you reckon it needs the fridge to be disconnected a partially moved out of place.

Made the rookie mistake of doing the middle of Lidl. Bought a little ceramic heater for warming up around the cab floor area which doesn’t really get warmed by the blown air.
I bought one too, not had it in the van yet, any good?

Another list.
brake pad springs
another 200 watt solar panel
assorted nuts bolts and screws
new set of lock barrels
front cab matt.
Amazon product ASIN B084VR659G

engine service kit
suited set of 3 external door security locks
external 240 volt socket and box.
3 tonne jack.
interior cupboard door catches.
ipad holder for use as GPS.
another holder for 7 inch reversing camera screen.
replacement door lock for the garage door.
and that’s enough for this week.
next week a fair bit more then that should be it fingers and everything else crossed

Yesterday we ordered a new wheel for the van, had tried looking at used but none in a very good state, having new tyres fitted and will keep best of the old as a spare, joint birthday/Christmas presents to each other.

Yes you do have to move the fridge out about 8 inches and yes you have to disconnect the gas pipe… I fitted this one a couple of years ago.. very easy to do the fan fits half way up the rear of the fridge. There are pre drilled pilot holes already in the back of fridge… the power is taken from the fridge rear ECU and the thermostat clips on the fin supply pipe.
The idea is that the fan blows cool air over the fins … rather than a couple of computer fans sucking hot air out of the top vent

After another uncomfortable night on the v soft mattress in our motorhome we have just ordered a new one which hopefully will be better

This last week I bought a Van King Bed system for my VW T6.1 Kombi, plus curtains and rails, smart charge & leisure battery, USBs and 2 12 volt sockets for my CPAP machine and coolbox, VW puddle lights, Reimo awning rail, double swivel for passenger seats, Fuel lagoon screen cover, Quest screen pro 6 and vehicle connector as I’m converting the VW into a day van.

A hand drill set from LIDL- £7.99- an absolute bargain because you get a neat vice, a pin chuck, and more importantly two sets of what appears to be good quality small drills. I put the 1mm and 2mm drills through some gauge plate at 6000 rpm and 3000 rpm respectively, without coolant, and the points are still brill!
Recommended.

Want one!!!!! I bet if I go to our Lidl they won't have any in flipping stock though as they came out before Christmas.

Well I've had to buy a Sat NAg as the one built into my radio has given up every time I try to open a route ,save a route or plan a route is crashes
The memory card refuses to update so bit the bullet

Just obtained a 9 inch Xgody from Ebay - Wish I'd bought one instead of the radio as we've used them before not had any problems

AND before anyone asks the size is to help Steph who needs to see the screen thanks to her continuing eye problem

A new to me smaller roof box to prevent shade on the solar panels.Just need to sell the old one now.

One of these for cleaning bits of my classic Brit m/bikes - carbs, electrical switches, dynamo and magneto parts. Haven't tried it yet but other Lidl stuff has been fine for hobby use. At only 20 quid it's worth a punt.

I've had one for years. Very useful for increasing Brownie points - just pop your partner's diamond solitaire ring in the pot for two minutes...
