THIS week I bought

After having levelling ramps fitted, and B2B charger + new steps fitted by Two on Tour. The latter by SAP. My wife has a new Smart car.

We've got fixed twin beds in our new (to us!) motorhome, and I'm sure there's a knack that I've not yet found for putting the mattress protector and sheets onto the beds neatly, and for them not to slip around when you're turning over in bed.

So in the meantime, I've bought two sets of elasticated clips that are designed to keep the ironing board cover on the ironing board. Well I thought it was with a try and they are fantastic - a pack of four with one slightly shorter clip. They clip onto the edge of the single fitted sheets and the short one is also perfect for the end of the mattress where it's slightly narrower.

Definitely worth the £3.50 / per pack!

Treated myself to a couple of new watches.

How come when your wife comes back from the hairdressers and says "how do you like my hair" you say "it's lovely and really suits you dear"
and when I buy a couple of watches and I say "do you like these" she says " how much were they " and "do you really need any more watches"
and this is the person that has 15 watches that I have just counted. :*

I have never bought a watch. Let alone 2 at once. I cannot say the same for motorcycles.

Like that one on the right, what is it?

Charnwood morticer local toolshop did a deal on it, beat all the online prices.

It's a Vostok Amphibian automatic divers watch.
The were originally made for the Russian military and are excellent time keepers and ridiculously cheap.

Not a bad bit of kit, I have an older Charnwood morticer W340 which has given me years of trouble free service, I bought mine through Screwfix got a brilliant deal and free delivery.
Enjoy.

Never used one before and was surprised at how hard it is to push the chisel in, the vids on YouTube make it look like the chisel just slides in without any effort on the part of the operator. Chisels are a cheap set supplied in the deal, I wondered if more expensive chisels would make a difference?

Got fed up of the cold weather so I bought thermal windscreen blinds and a greenhouse heater for when van is parked up to avoid freezing (controversial know)
But at least now the weather is guaranteed to get milder so we can all get away next weekend in the warm barmy temperatures that my purchasing these item will now ensure.....no need to thank me:cold:

The drill part should extend out of the chisel about 3 to 4mm. cheaper chisels will never cut at well as a decent set you shouldn't have to use much force to make a cut.

Thanks Rob been using the 12mm chisel to make my work bench and now some gates, so I will buy a dearer one and see if theirs any difference.

Knickers! We were at the market at Agilas yesterday and one of the stalls was selling off some of the better quality ones for only €1 a pair so I went mad and bought 12 pairs :dance2:... then went back and got another 12! Various colours including jade, pale pink, peach, light and mid blue, pale green, purple and of course I just had to get a pair of bright Barbie pink ones! :ROFLMAO:

A new starter battery for the Ducato. It was getting a bit sluggish first thing in the morning, especially in zero-ish Alpine temperatures a couple of weeks ago.
Took advantage of a short stay in the UK to buy a Varta 020 from Tayna Batteries. Less than £125 delivered - I thought that was ok.
The one I removed was a Fiamm with a Sevel sticker so I presume it was the original. 9.5 years isn't bad going and it's not quite dead so I gave it to a mechanic mate to use around the workshop.

Two 180W solar panels - half way through fitting them. Just need the sun to shine now...
How much did they cost and where from please looking around at the mo but lost in the amount and prices

I bought them off ebay along with controllers, wire, solder connectors, fuse holders, MC4 plugs, panel corner and edge mounts, Sikaflex 252, self drilling bolts and other bits and bobs. I used various ebay sellers but the panels came from here:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-...0001&campid=5338547443&icep_item=202829957544

I paid £110 each delivered in the end. I had to wait about 3 weeks for delivery and the listing was very honest about this so no problem. As a fulltimer I also had to chose sellers that would do Click & Collect so this limited my choice a little bit, although 61p/Watt was still very competitive. The bits n bobs were about another £100 even though I plumbed in two separate 180 Watt systems with 12 AWG from panels and 10 AWG to batteries to save a little bit of money on controllers and wiring, and also to make fitting easier.

This is nearing completion of the panel install:

A trip to the vet for Romy as she's got a urinary infection we think ... not too bad though, only €45 for consultation, tablets & 2 injections.

However we got a message to ring the holiday park where we own 2 holiday lodges ... that was an expensive call as the heater has gone in one of the hot tubs and a replacement was £306.

I the quest to find a window van that works ideally upside down or on its side, after seeing a few video reviews on YouTube I went out and bought a Karcher WV6 window vac.
First impressions of it are that is far far better than the pretty poor Karcher WV70 which we bought some time ago and spits out water if turned upside down and the better but still spitting a bit Lidl's Karcher copy.
This WV6 has a very flexible blade setup on it which allows you to turn the window vac through about 120 degrees of rotation on the blade.
I also tested it by putting water in the water pickup reservoir, starting it up and then inverting the window vac and there was a little bit of gurgling and a few drip but on the whole with initial testing it could be a winner.

The very flexible blade is a big improvement for reaching and coming off the bottom of the house windows.

Currys/PC World have got 20 quit off them at present.
