THIS week I bought

Greedy ... surely 1 motorhome is sufficient? :D

Ah I could have worded that post a bit better Mel. We sold our old moho last summer as we were expecting a rather healthy payment to arrive from a land sale.
The land sale still isn't resolved, its taking forever & driving us nuts, so I've been suffering from withdrawal symptoms, now I know how a junkie feels, every time a moho goes past our door my heart skips a beat & I was feeling really down.

With all of that in mind I decided to look into our savings to see if I could afford an older stopgap. I was backed into a corner price wise when I spotted an advert for a Swift KonTiki which despite being elderly was described as bone dry & it was only a couple of hours from the door, well worth a rather pleasant drive to Perth on a lovely spring day.
The condition of that KonTiki blew me away especially given that the vehicle is a 1995!!!
With my damp meter I couldn't find a trace of damp, there were no signs of any old repairs.
The base vehicle which is a Peugeot is also in remarkable condition & very very low mileage.
Of course it was really cheap, so we'll pick it up this week, its a six berth & even has the layout which we're looking for in a new moho.

Now watch this space, I'll be willing to bet that the money which is coming will arrive within the next couple of weeks. o_Oo_Oo_O :D

This is the beastie......

Gone a bit mad today on a certain auction site and bought 2 x 100 watt solar panels, a new cab carpet, replacement door locks, as the drivers lock has been broke since we bought the van and some window tint film oh and a wi fi reversing camera! Still undecided to buy a dedicated monitor or a new single din radio with flip up video monitor/sat nav/bluetooth etc. Best close the auction page before I spend any more.

single din radio with flip up video monitor/sat nav/bluetooth
Be careful what you buy if you plumb for one of those.
I have had to sort out two incidents of batteries going flat that were caused by them.
The standby current ( even with the face removed ) was horrendous

VB semi air and updated front springs. Only picked the MH up from Solar Solutions, Sturminster Marshall in Dorset at 16:00 driven to a lovely BritStop in Malmesbury via about 5 dud ones and very very pleased.

A 'turbo' mop and bucket ( ??? !!!!! ) for Woman
Two new tyres for the Smarty I have just sold.. Canna let a Funster take the car unless it is spot on !

It was a toss up between a A class EuraMobil and the Malibu and with it been a sister company of Carthago decided for the Malibu. When you go in the Malibu it just looks and the quality just feels the same as a Carthago but about 20 grand cheaper. It’s the I500 QB on a 4200kg cassis with loads of storage and a massive garage at the back.

To go with the
12V 30A Double Piston Large Volume Air Compressor Car Tyre Inflator
that we bought a few weeks ago

the adapter means that it's easier to clip the hose to the valve instead of the screw fitting that it came with

Best £2.39 spent especially as it is now £4.39

That’s a great little adaptor - I’ve struggled with the my screwfix compressor pump before - getting it connected and thats was just on cars - and whilst it’s capable of the motorhome tyres I didn’t fancy the battle if something occurred.

Thanks for sharing - I’m will buy one - might come from a slow boat from Hong Kong though although at your price I would have bought one.

We stopped at an aire at Jerez yesterday called La Morada Del Sur, it’s a Motorhome repair centre and shop. I managed to pick up a new Fiamma bike cover, perfect timing as the old one had ripped to pieces in the strong winds on the way up from the coast.

Brownhills have 20% off accessories today so thought I would treat us to an avtex sound bar. Was £149 got it for £119, very happy with it,

Thanks for the heads up, did not see your post until catching up on posts this morning.

Gave Brownhills a ring a moment ago and although the 20% off accessories was just for yesterday, they still gave me the 20% off the Avtex sound bar so I bought one. (y)
