THIS week I bought

Just bought a new Fiamma F65 3.7m wind-out awning for the camper in 'Titanium' colour! Got if from O'Leary's for £380 (ex-Discover Leisure stock), whilst the box was battered the awning only has one very small mark on the very end of the front capping which won't be seen so well happy, we've also ordered the brackets for it too so for at total of £450, which is about £150 under what it should have cost, we're well chuffed.

We weren't going to have one but looking at all the other options, and as we're going to be having longer trips abroad in the sun (hopefully! ), we'll need some sort of shade for the dogs if not for us and especially for when hubby is BBQ'ing in the rain!!!

this week i bought all the timber and liner and built this,no fish yet but water all treated and give it a week and will stock it with comets, not koi:thumb:

Can't get used to the peace and solitude though

Mrs t a snoring with telly tuned to her favourite proggs

Just incase she misses a bit( make that most of it )

Well after having so many problems with Tomtoms and much preferring my ever faithful Garmins, woman and I went and got yet another gps today.. A bloody Tomtom ( cos SHE prefers the way it speaks the directions ? )

Just trying a test with it.... Route from here to Zahora.. it has been 'reprogramming route' for 55 minutes so far
And this is the new mk2 1005 Go! unit :Eeek:

This week I bought a Gibson SG Robot guitar from eBay like this but in black:
Broken Link Removed
Always wanted one as it automatically tunes itself and you can store different tunings and quickly switch from one tuning to another.
The alternative I currently use is multiple guitars each tuned differently.
So now I have to "thin the herd" to make room as I have more guitars than there is space on the study walls to hang them.
I've been putting very low bids on every Robot that has come up on eBay over the last year and finally hit lucky - the only bidder and about £200 less than the normal price level !
I'll probably sell the Les Paul Studio, a Fender Telecaster and a Hamer Electromatic. That'll make the necessary space and cover the cost of the Robot.
On the subject of guitars, in 1966, I bought an Epiphone Casino with Bigsby £212. A second hand 64 Stat, £50,and a new 66 Vox ac 30 .
The point is if In had kept them and sold them today, I could have bought a new motorhome this week:cry:

This week I bought a new toy...:BigGrin:

Today I bought...............................

An extra bracket for the roll out awning..

reason ? Just so I could move the thing backwards by about 7" to stop 'woman' moaning about a wee gap at the front end ( where the body ends and it curves in to meet the original van drivers door ) when we use the safari room ! :Eeek:

And two more wee purchases today..

1) a new exhaust trim.. It has one of those natty ones that deflects the gasses downwards, but the deflector deflected its last bit of gas while away and rotted away !!

2) A replacement Shurflo water pump.
Ours is incredibly noisy.. always has been.... I never really worried about it but whilst away, I happened to be looking out the window as woman turned a tap on.. German guy on the next but one pitch ( about 30 yds away ! ) spun round to see what the hell all the noise was !!

Tomorrow, weather permitting we are off up to the Eagles Nest, which was built on the top of a mountain by Martin Borman for Hitler.
 Ivy

How did that go ?

I found a web site that made it look like a few days needed for the full tour.

How did that go ?

I found a web site that made it look like a few days needed for the full tour.

We didn't actually go in the end since the weather was damp and gloomy and some Dutch people told us the only thing worth going up there for was the view and we wouldn't have seen anything. There is a restaurant up there but nothing much of historical interest, which was what we wanted really. I was up a ski lift last week so I don't need another view.

This week I bought a mobility scooter to go into the motorhome and what a bargain just £30. Its tatty but it does the job just as well as the ones costing £350 and more that I looked at.

What a bargain and what a saving.

Wife bought two bags of Mussels in garlic sauce from the local freezer centre today for the princely sum of £1 :thumb:. Had em tonight for tea, you'd pay £ 7 to 8 quid in a restaurant for the same as a starter ! Brilliant they were, I'm off for some more tomorrow - buy of the year.

I bought an awning off ebay which we were very excited about waiting for it to come only to be disappointed by the poor condition of it oh well have to wait for a dispute now to be settled.
And we bought an awning driveaway kit ready for it, oh well that has to go back as well, hope johns cross is accomodating.
I must say I had really good service from them last week when our sunshade from them split and had a no quibble refund, well done johns cross.
