"On Working ≤25W". OK on hook-up but by my calculation that's 2 amps per hour so you need a fair amount of battery on board otherwise.

Personally I run a 230volt LG 24" via inverter and I've never had a power issue BUT I do have 200watts on the roof :Rofl1:

Hubby bought a nice set of Silver Screens off Ebay - they are supposed to be used, but if so, they have hardly been out of the bag. They're the 'long line' version and currently cost £120 new! :Eeek:

Fortunately he only paid £28 plus courier, about £35 all in!!! :thumb:

Took my 58 reg Fiat panda toad in for an MOT today, free I might add.
Big mistake, took the wife,'O look I like the new Panda in white, lets buy one'
So today I bought a new Panda toad:Eeek:
I shall now start a riot by asking 'which type of A frame shall I glue to the new one'?

Just bought a couple of tennis racquets and some balls, from sports direct closing down sale.
Now just got to buy some fitness and energy:BigGrin: and convince Alan to give it a go.

... that's given me an idea ... the Smart has to sit outside all forlorn in the car port so it might quite like a 'thermal hat' .... and I have some spare material ....

This week I bought:
18 Railway sleepers
4 tons sharp sand
12 bags cement
2 tons limestone chippings
2 tons Indian riven sandstone paving slabs in various sizes
4 large rolls of weed control fabric
2 midi skips to take away soil and turf.

Gwen said we had to get rid of the grass in the back garden so we don;t have to worry about getting somebody to cut it during the months we are away in the MH.
I have had to dig up the back lawn, use the sleepers to terrace the slope, enlarge the existing patios and use the limestone chippings around the shrubs to inhibit weed growth.
It's taken me 10 days of back-breaking woirk and wouldn't have been possible without the help of our 18 year old grandson - he's already well over 6 feet tall and well built (and exceptionally strong!)
Job done just in time for us to go to the Lincoln show and then on to Hull for the ferry to Amstrerdam and a couple of months in Germany.

Now Gwen says we'll do the front lawn when we get back from Portugal/Morocco in April :Eeek:

Hope you have lime tollerent plants :Eeek::BigGrin:

This week I bought a Gibson SG Robot guitar from eBay like this but in black:
Broken Link Removed
Always wanted one as it automatically tunes itself and you can store different tunings and quickly switch from one tuning to another.
The alternative I currently use is multiple guitars each tuned differently.
So now I have to "thin the herd" to make room as I have more guitars than there is space on the study walls to hang them.
I've been putting very low bids on every Robot that has come up on eBay over the last year and finally hit lucky - the only bidder and about £200 less than the normal price level !
I'll probably sell the Les Paul Studio, a Fender Telecaster and a Hamer Electromatic. That'll make the necessary space and cover the cost of the Robot.

Just got a spare Iveco 2.8 td engine and gearbox :Smile:genuine 35k miles from new :thumb: comes complete with turbo, pumps, starter and alternater all for £300 :thumb: Don't need it but for that money it can reside in the garage just in case (will throw some stuff out to make room )
Only problem now is SWMBO who after two yrs of persuading (we need a newer van )says we have to keep the van because we now have a spare engine if anything goes wrong
Aparently she had come around to the idea of selling in a couple of months to buy another to convert :Doh:Why did she not tell me :Eeek:
Never mind she may come around in another yr or two

Today, actually, I bought two tickets for a boat trip on Lake Koniggsee near Berchtesgaden in Bavaria. It was really beautiful. The lake is the cleanest in Germany and the water was a beautiful turquoise because of the reflection of blue sky and forestry on the surrounding mountains. No private boats are allowed on the lake and the pleasure boats all have battery engines. At a certain point in the lake the boat stops, everybody is silent and a chap blows his fugelhorn and, amazingly, there is an echo which is an exact replica of his playing. It was a wonderful moment and a big smile spread across all our faces. This is similar.

Tomorrow, weather permitting we are off up to the Eagles Nest, which was built on the top of a mountain by Martin Borman for Hitler.
