This old shed turned up, slumming it I suppose.

Have you got a link for this Aire please, there are a couple to choose from on S4S.
Was this one, big car park but very quiet day and night, only 5 minutes walk into the village.
we payed €6 a night last year and I see it is now €8.

Just seen this thread. Id say it’s an Iveco daily Martin
(y) ;) I was looking at the extra bit of bodywork with the front docking light in in front of the front wheels and thinking it was a bit longer than this one below, which is a Daily.

Just noticed as well, no fuel filler in the normal position and the one in the original post is 8 studs wheels ;)

EDIT 8 studs makes it a Eurocargo I think.

I stand corrected Martin. I thought the wheels were too recessed for a eurocargo but Philip has just come back and agrees with you. What do I know I’m a mere woman 😂

I nearly bowed to your experience but it made me look at the original picture again as I was doubting myself but when I spotted the wheel studs(y) gotcha.

I guess it is the 2.5 metre body so pushing the wheels under a bit more.

If I’m brutally honest, I love the Concordes, Morelos etc and I know I’ll never be able to afford to own one, BUT If I could, I’d have a sub 9M in a heartbeat, prob lean towards a 8.5!
I have a golden rule, one of my favourite Aires is at Dinkelsbuhl and if I can’t get a moho in there, I don’t want it (and I’m sure I could get a 8.5 Morelo in there😉😁😁)
As Said before good luck to those lucky enough to own one, and I’m sure there’s people further down the chain say the same about carthagos, frankia’s etc.
For some the continental style of van doesn’t suit them so they will have their British vans and good luck to those also, it doesn’t mean they’re any less happy with their choice, it’s exactly that…Choice👍
and some of us have ones we have
converted and built ourselves.

We started off with a converted ldv van, done by someone else.
Bought unseen off eBay from a bloke who couldn't say enough bad things about it, anyway on fetching it ,it was like a rolls compared to what we ride about in.
Anyway,a bit of timping and within three months we had been all round Europe in it, loved it. Then got the bug and traded up to a bigger coach-built, no where near the fun I'm afraid, always worried about scratching it and darent drill the walls or anything to add stuff on, kept it a couple of years then went back to converting an old ambulance and love traveling in it, go anywhere no worries about scratches and stuff, it just stands in the yard when we aren't out in it, no worries no storage ,love it.
No, not knocking anyone's choice of van but for me I wouldn't beg a bigger one.

I’m lucky enough to have a fantastic van, but I’ve always looked at the “Cheaper end vans” going down the road, and do you know what……

They too have a massive smile on their faces!👍

Were all in it together😎😎
Couldn’t agree more. Parked here up in Norfolk with a little Bongo beside us, all of us like minded. Enjoy the company of other motorhomers, chat about where we’ve been plans for next trip etc, what could be better, all with a glass in hand.

Well I suppose we are somewhere in the middle between a conversion and a Morelo. Some people may say we are above the middle because we have an 'A' Class, but it is 20yo and did not cost us much more in a private buy 14 years ago than many a S/H coachbuilt at the time.

Anyway we enjoy it and have travelled from Poland to Scotland, Pyrenees, Alps, Slowakia, Italy and Greece.

As they say it is not what you have but what you do with it that counts.

Now, why am I going to the Morelo open this month? Probably just to remind myself how much I am saving by hanging on to the 20yo Arto. Morelo could easily relieve one of a lot more in extras than I paid for our Arto.

Also I have never been to a factory visit before so that might be fascinating in itself.

Wife said it was a very nice old shed until I said no slides. :ROFLMAO:
He's got more rear overhang than me, wonder what that's like to drive with a car in.
My Winnie is definitely tail happy.

An American shed and a German shed.

Another one turned up here at Tavira, these old sheds get everywhere.
Getting common now☹️☹️
Seems they will let anyone have one now, few years back it was just the best of the best😁😁
