This old shed turned up, slumming it I suppose.

:ROFLMAO:

Probably waiting to collect its complement of day-trippers visiting the Casa Jardin.
It would be a pretty exclusive day trip with 5 belted seats at the most, at least they would be travelling in style though ;)

I know you jest with the "old shed" bit but it is actually quite an early model.

Martin

I know you have hung onto funflair as your user name but after this thread can I recommend 'slumdog' as an alternative, or even 'slumpalace'? :giggle:

[I know that is going to cost me a couple of drinks at Morelo, but it was worth it.]

Yebbut, coaches built before 2001 aren't required to have passenger seat belts. :giggler:

For sure they are not everyone's cup of tea, and indeed not everybody can drive one or even afford to run one but thankfully that leaves them for those that do and can.
Would not want one myself.
So many often knock this size of Motorhome but the ones that have had them do not constantly post the same about someone’s pride and joy that’s smaller/cheaper/older and if they did they would get jumped on.
l am saying it out loud the space, comfort level, security is outstanding and lots love it.

I agree, instead of just saying “ I would not want one myself” what’s wrong with” Lovely quality Motorhome it will be someone’s pride and joy but it wouldn’t suit me”

I’m in the “can’t afford one” camp, I’ll just wait patiently for you to finish with yours Martin, mind you even then……….🤷‍♂️🙄

I know the thread was made in jest but in reality who cares what someone’s van is like, we all have more or less the same fun at the end of the day. Some are just more fortunate than others to have better vans..usually through hard graft or luck.

I’m lucky enough to have a fantastic van, but I’ve always looked at the “Cheaper end vans” going down the road, and do you know what……

They too have a massive smile on their faces!👍

Were all in it together😎😎

You could drive it though ;) I couldn't as it's a truck I think:ROFLMAO:, i'm looking after this one for you but at the moment the value is going up n ot down so I hope you are putting a bit away every week.

Actually after having checked a bit it seems this era of Morelo are the properly built ones that are high quality and last for years, not like the cheap light weight ones they knock out today🤣 I think it was for this reason that Swift didn‘t buy them🤔.

I may of drunk too much tea today🧋

Having started out with a burnt out engine fire in a sixties VW Campervan with tilt roof, when l actually ordered at Düsseldorf got a Concorde a year later it was to me a dream Motorhome and a milestone in my life of trying to achieve certain goals.

l could write a book of our experiences between the VW and the Concorde best part of 50 years and 14 Motorhomes or parts of 🤔

I don't think anyone in this thread is being remotley serious. But you're right.

That lucky family in their first trip in their first van that's 15 years old will have just as much fun, maybe even more, than the lucky family who drove it out of the showroom 15 years ago. It's rarely about the motorhome, its what you do in it and where, that makes it special. (y)

Out of work and family it’s a lifetime experience for many so many people which is very clear from so many Funsters
