Great site at Luss, but the Laird is closing it down at the end of the year to put on glamping pods. Yeuk.!



Yes, you are correct, been on the cards for some time now, the Laird Sir Malcolm Colquhoun doesn't take much to do with the day to day running, his CEO runs the estate and is very profit minded, changing many things from the way "it's always been ", and this sums up the campsite !, there is another CCC site on the other side of the Loch which will not be affected though,

But if any Funster wants to wildcamp on the west side of the Loch nearby, just PM me and I'll suggest one or two good spots,

Glorious here in Longtown Cumbria just as we are leaving tomorrow to head down south to Netley Marsh. Looks as though it will be even hotter when we arrive.

Do you mean the one at Malareky bay? Trouble is its then a fair drive to get back down and up to Luss.

Back from Greece 3nights ago. First Corinaldo, Le Marche, 34°c. Tonight Bevagna, Umbria. Still 20° at 11pm. Yellow warning for tomorrow, 38°c. Wish we'd stumped up for a rooflight fan!
 
Lovely Sunshine in Newcastle Upon Tyne today . Wen't in van to get it ready for going away tomorrow 39 degrees. Hears hopping for a nice weekend at Redcar.:D:D
