Grey, cold, wet. Emergency dash to vet at 9am. So stressed I didn’t even notice it was raining. Thought Holly had had a stroke. Vet thinks not. Seems she may have pulled her back out ( has happened before, she’d been injured when I found her) Anti-inflammatory and now sleeping on her heat pad next to the radiator.

And in Spalding. Had to rig up tarpaulin this morning to provide drying area for fascia fitter to work under. He’s had a hard time this week trying to keep working. Got scaffolding up all around the house, work scheduled to be all complete this week but probably a day behind so far. We booked ferry last week for next Thursday, so hoping it will all be finished before we leave. Never known it to rain for so long, and still looking wet tomorrow.

Thanks. Hopefully, looking better from tomorrow onwards. I’m hoping that the fitter offers to work on Saturday, if he does then I will give him a good bonus. Don’t need to but he has battled on all week. He went to put first section of gutter on today only to find that none in the pile. On ringing his supplier they are saying that they delivered some so it must have been stolen. All material was put around the back, so no way has somebody walked off with 5 number 5m sections!
