On Thursday we embark on the Juan Armas Ferry from Las Palmas to Cádiz, a 36 hour journey costing €1.360 including cabin and food. On arrival we then journey to Jerez to overnight, or two, before continuing on the 'Ruta de la Plata' as far as León then turn left into Galicia. We have an appointment in a specialist in La Coruña to have a refillable gas system installed. The preparations are well under way and one of the steps was to empty grey and black tanks, fill the fresh water and also the diesel (it's cheaper here). So 'Estación de Servicio El Taro' was an obvious choice. 80 litres of water €1, van washing €4 and the fuel not too bad.

That doesn't sound too bad. Do you get a discount for being an island resident or is that the open market price?
Residents discount, but it only applies to the people travelling - van pays full price. The normal tariff is around 3k.

Stupid boy. 🤭
Get the 1-2-3 fuel app on your phone, I dropped into the one in Seville that is showing as €1.138 today.
But, are you guys bunging in the cheapo diesel? I buy the premium because it is better for the engine and also gives more miles to the gallon, so the difference in price is cancelled out.

But they are all EN590
That just makes it legal. But the additives in the super really do make a difference. And it saves you buying additives from the gas station for both the diesel and the add blue. So in the long run it is cheaper.

Can you prove that plus how does adblue come into it ?

This was part of our journey from Cádiz to Jerez de la Frontera last night. A very nice bridge.

The missus will not be getting her Oscar any time soon 😂
Finished now then? Last time I was in Cadiz it was only suitable for Tom Daley.

According to Auto Express if you have a bulk standard engine, use standard fuel, and every 1000 miles or so fill up with a Super/ Premium fuel, this applies to petrol and Diesel vehicles to desoot /clean up engine they say pointless always using high grade fuels unless you have a high performance vehicle.

The marina at Gelves is quite good. €20 inc EHU. Bus into Seville takes about 15-20 mins.
You sir are a mind reader or witch, that is exactly where we are 😀
