The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

You dare mate lol

I paid £290 for a full fluid change, bearing in mind my system holds 8-9 ltrs I think that’s bloody good value. They told me things about my system I didn’t even know as well as FW updating the Alde panel
Are they not about £440 for an A Class though?

No idea

I paid what paid, also no idea why it should be more for an A class as an Alde system is an Alde system choose what moho it’s installed in surely.

Ok I can see why a system is different in a 6mtr van to a 9mtr van as you’ll have more pipe-work and possibly radiators. But both vehicles could be any class couldn’t they?

I was just wondering if it would work on the windscreen? 🤔
Yes it works great, here is mine, see not a single fly. :giggler:

Ooooooo ... what are you two plotting! :giggle:

I thought it would be a little 'den' for Garry seeing as he's been eyeing up 'living' in the garages of N&Bs! :giggle:
Garry did comment upon investigating our garage space at Drax Mel, that he could easily live in Tam's garage space of the same size for the Moroccan trip, but clearly wasn't aware at the time, of the potential for a huge pi@@ pot within, once Tam's batteries were removed/relocated.

Cheers,

Jock. ;)

You must have just sneaked in like me, I paid £270 odd I think and they told me the prices have been adjusted and should be £400 odd but they honoured the price!! Great service, lots of questions answered, will definitely be heading back there when it’s due!!👍👍

I think he should have a 6” hole in the bottom of the battery box then just cover the battery box with a toilet seat…
Great for wild camping but a bit awkward while driving….😎

Absolutely Garry, as that could specifically be the second driver's rest bunk, ie, yours, with Madame Brazilian driving your PVC in convoy. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. ;)

2 things that's impressed me with this van today. 1st , I turned heating and hot water off around 12pm , I just washed my dishes in hot water at 7pm . Boiler has kept water hot for 7 hours. Never had a van that did that.

2nd , it has a built in starter battery trickle charger so when my leisure battery is full it charges my starter battery too.

The more I discover the more I love this van.

I can manage with basic , I did many times , but I must admit its nice having a bit of luxury .

Tam, as funflair Martin pointed out in a previous post, you are experiencing the qualities (and are now the proud owner) of a luxury and quality German built MH, which these days, you'd certainly be paying a quarter of a million bucks for.

We thought our 99 Hymer E690 was luxury and quality built, but TBH, our N+B Flair far exceeds that, and will be our last MH, unless I lose my C1. 🤷

Enjoy her qualities pal. 👍

Jock. :)

Uncle Lenny HB gonnae gaes a link tae yer smoke alarm ta muchly.

You can add pink to blue but not vice versa Tam, i’d advise you as well when replacing the fluid to let Alde do it.

Reasons being the full system gets a service/overall, pressure tested and anything you don’t know, they do, and it will be thoroughly explained to you.

Admitted I take onboard what you’ve said previously regarding being in hotter climates.

They did mine in July and it’s sorted now until 2019 so peace of mind
So are you a time traveller then, sorry couldn't resist.

Aye I thought my big franky was luxurious when I had it and it was quite well kitted out but wasn't as well built or designed as this is. And it was newer .

I had the alde on that but rarely used it. But didn't have the engine heating etc .

A few ingredients missing, meat, fish, shellfish and you forgot the G&T, beer & wine.

And a few olives wouldn't go amiss.

Label says dry clean only . But they've had a good hoover at least .
Mousy Dawn is absolutely spot on Tam, ie, a cool wash. If really dowdy and drab looking, add a scoopful or two of Vanish, or a satchet of Glowhite, and that'll bring them up nice and white again. ;)

Years ago, you'd have to soak them in Bio-Tex for hours, but these modern additives to the main wash are excellent these days. 👍

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Mine have all said dry clean only, came up a treat with Aldi soap powder and a cold wash.

Need to keep your eye on that as the CBE distribution unit only charges the starter battery when the leisure battery is 13.5v and above. If you have no charge going in Lithium's tend to sit at 13.3v.

My panel at present shows leisure battery at 13.5v and starter battery at 13.2v and trickle charge in operation.

You mean Tam.
I'm sure Gary wants one as well.
Found a similar alternative on ebay

I assumed Mousy meant the coloured curtains.. but the silver blinds I ain't touching lol. A few of the clips on the strings are broken already and I've only just got them looking OK after I'd hoovered them lol. They're silver grey not white but complicated things .

So where do most mount their dash cams? I bought a dash cam for the van but it's designed to stick on the window with a sticky pad ...but
1) it's at the wrong angle as obviously designed for cars with more sloping windscreen
2) it came with a feckin cigarette lighter socket.

So I can buy another cable for it that just plugs in to my USB on dash that's powered by ignition.

And I can make a bracket to mount it on dash or suspended from overhead cabinets.

It's just a cheap and simple camera as I don't want an overly expensive complicated jobby.

So where's yours mounted bottom of screen or top ?
