The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

might still be ok for the short time I need to use them. I'll pick them up when you have your Lithium so I can see your luxury living standard!
OK dokey , are you in a rush for them Michelle? As I've not ordered the new battery yet . Still debating which one to go for .

But we have a single lead acid battery here I can put in for now if you need these back quickly

Use an electric window switch

You don’t have two live wires to the motor, just two wires. IE supply 12VDC on Red and 0VDC on Blue wire, vent opens

Reverse the wires, roof closes

The defunct circuit board would have swapped polarity
That's what I suggested 2 fields ago:giggle::giggle:

Ah OK that makes sense , I figured one wire was for one direction and the other wire for the other direction.

OK cool I've ordered a 2 way rocker switch that Lenny HB linked me too last night.

So am I right in saying if I put a live and negative feed on to those wires just now to test the motor that if it opens with red to red and black to blue that if I then put red to blue and black to red it should close again?

As I've not tested the motor yet to make sure it's working.
Yes, use your existing 12VDC supply, one way open, switch the wires close

Sorry Richard I probably saw it but it never registered . As you know electrics aren't my strong point. I can grasp the basics pos+ , neg - and I get by with simple stuff . But I was a little confused with the wiring on this.

I'll still need a bit of guidance what wire goes where when the switch arrives too no doubt .

But I can test that motor now when the rain stops

your water leak?which side shower or freshwater tank could be under the shower or fresh water junction or filler,is it slightly down at the back?

Nah its right in the garage. Van is slightly nose down so it couldn't be running back to the garage it's coming in a joint . I'll have to take the metal plate off and look behind it

Outer two terminals to your motor, your existing 12 VDC supply to the middle terminal and your 0VDC connected to the two & four terminals

Simples!

Ta

Might need a lesson in how to wire that up .

I've a pos/neg cable coming in . And then 2 pos wires from motor but no neg .

A picture is worth a thousand words 😁. Just make sure the switch has a centre off position. (And returns to centre when you remove your finger)
He has ordered the one I gave him a link to the same type I used for reversing an extractor fan.

I have and I just realised that I already have one of those somewhere I stripped out of the euramobil when we removed the weird rise and fall desk thingie that guy had built in to it.

But the one I've ordered will probably arrive quicker than it would take me to rummage through all my stuff to find it 😂

Just tested the motor and it works fine ....opens and closes no problem.

So that's good news

The main circuit board actually looks OK

It's this smaller one where the main power went In that's knackered .

But to be honest I'd rather not have the rain sensors and remote control etc. I'd prefer an ordinary manual operated one but they're expensive to buy so I'll make do with this one on a switch. At least I'll be able to use it

Garage leak is another issue. I've stripped the metal trim panel off but as I suspected I think the water is travelling along that . My initial thoughts are it's coming in this vertical seam behind the rear bumper . Hard to see

No fun for us it you don't get stuck on the roof.

Yes she eats too fast ....but she's getting better. I was hand feeding her up till a few weeks ago . Now she's got the slow feeding bowl. Still tries to gulp it down

Ela was the same when I got her for maybe a year. Now she eats slowly and enjoys every bite. Blu will be the Same in time I'm sure of it.
If she has any lab in her she might always gulp her food. Beech had a slow feeder bowl all her life but still attacked her food and she never lived on the street 🤣

My last van had a remote controlled double folding step on a plug in wander lead??? Could never get my head around why it was ever considered necessary? I just changed it to an electric window switch .

I was going to ask WHY he buys them. Never or rarely on them

Trust Bluey behaving himself and not chewing anyth8ng

Or is that only when he is left alone without you,

Carol?

Blu is a girl… I keep calling her a him..😆😂
