The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

Finally a bit tidier. , all lights have now been changed to led bar the doglight in the bathroom as I can't figure out how it comes apart. Added new led strip lights around the cab area cupboards and a brighter led light under the centre cupboard too as there were no lights in the cab area at all. TV is now mounted in the cupboard above fridge. Can't plug it in yet as I'm waiting for power plugs in post. Fitted USB charge points in the old TV cupboard above the cab and a pair in the bedroom . New Teddy bear fleece throw for the sofa ( actually a single duvet cover which works perfectly credit to Just smiffy for the idea ) new non slip floor matts and all new doggy beds ... feels more homely now .

I'll put night mode pics with lights on later.
Still need to sort that skylight surround , once I've figured out how to wire the motor to a rocker switch to open it as the remote control electrics are knackered View attachment 945902View attachment 945903View attachment 945904View attachment 945905View attachment 945906View attachment 945907View attachment 945908View attachment 945909View attachment 945910
It's lovely Tam, really homely. I still think this one is a keeper:h:

Looking good inside Tam.
Is the base of your “sofa” fixed down, if so how does the Duvet cover cope with that?
Also I found this company a while back, not ordered anything yet, but they sound good.
They have waterproof throws too.

No it's just one big cushion on the bottom 3 cushions on the top the whole lot fits inside the duvet cover. Works perfect

Night time mode ... the new cab lights make a big difference.. warm white for ambient lighting , bright white for when you need to see.

Looking great Tam, all you need now is a bit of luck with the engine to get it running sweet, brake overhaul, then your stress levels should be near zero, then you can start looking forwards to your winter travels!!
Onwards and upwards👍👍👍

You need a double pole changeover switch (DPCO) with centre off. It will have 6 terminals. Wire two end ones to 12v / 0v. Then wire those two terminals to the two at the other end with a cross. (Top left to bottom right and vice versa). Take the centre pair to the fan motor.
Where do I find one of those?

Got a link ?

The throws were sliding off the leather sofa so a single duvet cover they just go round and round…😆
Although I think there maybe some Velcro somewhere..🤔
Can't beat a bit of velcro now and again Just smiffy , but not on underwear!
Trust me :blusher:

Blu bolts her food?
Hopefully that slows her down a bit!
She obviously doesn’t want to lose her spot on the sofa!

Yes she eats too fast ....but she's getting better. I was hand feeding her up till a few weeks ago . Now she's got the slow feeding bowl. Still tries to gulp it down

Ela was the same when I got her for maybe a year. Now she eats slowly and enjoys every bite. Blu will be the Same in time I'm sure of it.

Tam, Any life left in the old batteries? Are they still useable or not worst keeping?
It's hard to tell Michelle, at the minute I've to keep it on constant hook up as it will cut off if I don't. I don't think they're holding charge for long under use .

might still be ok for the short time I need to use them. I'll pick them up when you have your Lithium so I can see your luxury living standard!

Has the motor frame got a neg
No neg on the actual motor .. 2 lives from motor originally went in to a circuit board along with rain sensor wires etc etc. There's a pos and neg supply from the van wiring but that's it. I want to bypass that circuit board entirely and just run the motor from a switch

Use an electric window switch

You don’t have two live wires to the motor, just two wires. IE supply 12VDC on Red and 0VDC on Blue wire, vent opens

Reverse the wires, roof closes

The defunct circuit board would have swapped polarity

Ah OK that makes sense , I figured one wire was for one direction and the other wire for the other direction.

OK cool I've ordered a 2 way rocker switch that Lenny HB linked me too last night.

So am I right in saying if I put a live and negative feed on to those wires just now to test the motor that if it opens with red to red and black to blue that if I then put red to blue and black to red it should close again?

As I've not tested the motor yet to make sure it's working.

In other news I have a leak in my garage , it seems to be coming in under this grey metal panel where the body has an angled bit.

It's on left hand side opposite the door .

Quite a bit coming in ..
