The brochure entitled "the flair" is my van. The 2 smaller hardback books are the same one German one English and cover the later models arto Flair and clou. I think they're sales brochures for new model at the time.

The big bible bordbuch seems to cover the earlier models pre 2002 and is heavily focused on fiat. Very little info on the iveco model and whilst similar the interior is different. Didn't even cover these swivel Rising cab seats , so had no one told me on here I'd not have known about them

That's the in shop prices Vic

Tourist areas the fish n chips are horrendous prices.

I used to think the Italian I delivered fir was dear at £10 but I got a shock when at Jackie's and we paid over £27 for 2 cod and one chips

Then the other week when mackeellan was down here helping me , the 3 of us went out for fish n chips and it was nearly £13 a portion again down here.

Nice size portion I have to say but crazy prices nowadays.

Depends what you were doing! 🤣

Not a lot, I was wedged in and could hardly move! 😄

Thinking about it, it was before the Pill was invented and, possibly, the reason the girlfriends father bought it for her? 😄

But then, on a winters night, it was better than the back of my motorbike I suppose! 🤔

Sorry Tam, I digress, it's all Captain Yoghurtpot fault! 😄

Mine has a brief description about the 4 switches as you come in the door and that's it. No other info on switches or lights. I've not found any information I've needed from the manual yet lol. I tend to just play about with stuff to see what it does. I know at least one set of these lights were working before so it's annoying me why they don't work now. And there's nothing else in the area those switches could work bar those lights as all the others are accounted for. I'm sure it's a fuse .. but I can't find any more fuses. The other fuses for other lights are east to find .

In t'other news .

My victron smart solar controller arrived today. Bought from ebay in the end for £99 with free delivery . Came from a company called "wired campers" couldn't find anywhere to beat that price even with our discounts. ...thems come down a bit , I paid £152 last year for the one for moby.

The Wired Campers website is very reasonably priced, they are running a clearance sale with a few relatively cheap bits and pieces (y)
Thanks for the heads up.

No that was walk in yourself, not sponsoring Deliveroo , they make even the cheapest places expensive and also sometimes restrict your choices from the menu

Next time you are in Newquay try ‘The Cod End’ - they are next to Aldi - £7.50, and you get an extra 10% if you have a locals card (available free from Tourist information on Marcus Hill)

It is the bedroom fairy lights isn’t it? Ours had a switch accessible from the bed.

Well I don’t know how it is in sunny Cornwall but it’s pissing it down here today, 17 Celsius in the house and both down with Covid so might have to turn the heating on for the first time😱😱😱, hope you have a productive day Tam👍

Dutch 68 hope you get over the dreaded Covid very soon, its a horrible thing to catch and can drag on, Paracetamol & Sleep is advised.
It would help if you filled in your approximate UK location as we have no idea where it is you are talking about, weather wise.(y)
Here in Surrey its bright and sunny, but not that warm as its only 18C inside the house, gotta cut the lawns now while its dry. The Weather is due to perk up a bit next week, fingers crossed.

Had both front wheels off today and inspected and cleaned up the brakes. No warped discs, discs are a little rusty on the front face but that will clean up with use , only found one sticky slider on rhs caliper . Freed that off an greased them up .. cleaned up the hole in the inner wheel arch. Usual place under the windscreen washer bottle . Not a structural point on these vans as they have full independent chassis so fibreglassing that.

So no brake parts needed for now. Will have to see if vibration still there once it has new wheels on freshly balanced and tyres at correct pressure .

Nothing scary under there just flaky paint . Everything looks in good condition for 20 year old metal bits. Also removed the big rusty frame that used to hold the gas tank .
Will get new wheels fitted tomorrow and that inner arch filled sanded and painted . No more advisories on that

I was a little worried today with Tam under the wheel arch but I gave a full safety inspection and supplied more wood for shoring up the van, I too was impressed at the condition under there and nothing to worry about, it’ll all look better when things are moving more frequently…

Today I just drilled a hole in his dash fitting for him for a usb socket..

Me… today I joined the spa at the Falmouth hotel for £65 for the month for 2 to get me off on a health spurt… today was swimming then sauna then swim again then sauna then jacuzzi…😎

Will be going every day at am or evening to get my monies worth, tomorrow the same but a little gym work involved…💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

My fogstar battery also arrived today .

So , as I will mostly be using solar and a b2b to charge it I don't have a mains lithium charger.

Will the charger that's already fitted in my van charge the lithium battery on the gel setting?
Will it do it any harm?

I obviously need to give the battery an initial charge and its unlikely I'll have the solar up and running before the weekend.... end of weekend most likely

The b2b will be later.

Your both doing a grand job, good that it’s not that bad considering how long it’s stood.
It's still running its original brake discs pads and calipers from when it was new. I think all the ball joints etc are also originals. It's surprisingly good .. the flaky paint makes it look a lot worse than it is which is a shame . I've scraped and wire brushed off a lot of it where I can get to . The morrocans will clean a lot of that up and repaint it when I'm there. It's a dirty time consuming job but they do it for a decent price so that's my plan this winter . Its a shame that someone's obviously sprayed black paint or underseal about under there previously and done a very shoddy job of it and as a result they've got overspray all over the white floor etc . I'd have liked to keep paint off of that and had it nicely presented underneath . Bit will probably have to just get the whole underside sprayed now. . But it will preserve it for a good while at least. Its a very solid big bus .

You want about 14.2v going into the battery and once bulk charge phase complete switch charger off.
