The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

Have you asked on the forums if they know of places that can do it? Alternatively what about a classic commercial vehicle club?

Tam already said doesn't have any springs. Torsion bar of which I have no knowledge or experience. Can they be adjusted? Do they wear out?
Torsion bars can usually be adjusted not a massive amount adjustment though.

I am thinking track rod ends adjust the tracking, should be slightly toe in, but the Tie Rods adjust the camber which is completely different to the tracking of a wheel/tyre alignment.
I bet the camber angle on these vehicles is hardly ever checked if at all, since leaving the factory.
As for the camber kit mentioned by the Aussie on that thread, who ever thought it was just Aus that had a camber on their roads, ideally every road will have a camber even slight to let the water run off.

As Australia drive on the same side of the road as we, or they did when I lived there, PERHAPS British driven vehicles probably need the same camber kit? 🤔

Knackered torsion bar?
Wouldn't surprise me as its been sitting around unmoved for years.

Do they behave differently to springs in that respect or would you expect springs that have not been exercised to be knackered too?

Ian

I don't think it has a knackered torsion bar . However there is a chance the ball joint on the rhs has been changed before and the lhs hasn't. Which means it may not have been adjusted correctly.

I was using springs as a generalisation, torsion bar suspension is a form of spring.
I was saying shocks wouldn’t effect ride height unless they were stuck solid

Don't know if anyone has suggested:

On level ground measure the height to each wheel arch to see if there is a difference - not just at front- but back as well.

The problem isn't always where you think it is

When we needed level ground to reset our hydraulic levers we went to the local weigh bridge and did them on there. Just a thought.

Why did you need level ground to reset (recalibrate?) your levellers?

If you measure from the centre of the hub to the wheel arch this will remove any effect the tyre may have

Tam, have you seen this ?

Yes that's the mobile guy I phoned on Wednesday and he said he'd call me back ...he never did , I left him a message again on Friday and another yesterday afternoon. And I've sent a further message to the head office again today asking if they've another agent as dave doesn't answer his phone or return calls.

Shame as he came recommended by a couple of places
