The resurrection of Doc, bringing a 20 year old neismann Bischoff Flair back to life after 12 years off road.

I know you don't want any input from me, but I'd be very inclined to leave well alone, if it all goes tits up in some other country no body will have a clue what to do with it.
Ach remapping is quite common these days Charlie, its very rare you get problems if done by a reputable company . I had all my vw t4s etc done by diamond tuning.

Its just getting one here it seems.

I will try phoning a few other ones tomorrow. I'll give quantum another call see if they have other agents further south I can try.

I want it done as it will make hill climbs less stressful.

Might pop past and see you tomorrow... I've not decided yet. Depends what time this guy gets this scooter carrier from me

Try a Pendle Performance with agent, had to have my T4 done at their Barnoldswick HQ as it had to have chips removed and replaced in the ecu but done on their rolling road and it was fantastic. An agent might be able to do yours and they are all over the place.

I can get a company called remap King's ( allegedly best in UK) to do it on uncle Lenny HB drive on 28th October for £225

But I'd like to speak to them first so will try to phone them tomorrow

Hi, Tam, I've been following your posts and am amazed nobody has mentioned the brake-fade issue may be a product of the van standing so long. During this time the discs will have rusted and pads possibly sticking a bit. When you have driven it the pads will have picked some of the rust up and applying the brakes could have caused "glazing" thus reducing their effectiveness.
I understand that brake-fade is a common thing caused by above.
Maybe sorted by new pads if the discs are good.
Cheers, Dave

Brake pads were changed a few weeks ago , calipers and discs cleaned up.

The brakes are definitely better since they've been bled.

But no big hill declines yet as I'm in the Midlands now

Right I've dropped off scooter carrier, I'm having a cup o tea at abbot's Bromley with a lakeside view then I'm gonna come by for a visit Charlie, take you up on that offer of some water thanks.

Then I'll head off to do some food shopping in Stafford.

I'll pop up about 12.30 ish .

Popped in visited chaser ... he kindly let me fill up me water tank and then I nipped in to uttoxeter Aldi for a few supplies. Then my saynac took me a very interesting scenic route down some very narrow and a few slippy lanes to tonight's parkup in the woods at Hoar Cross near Newburgh. Nice wee quiet carpark with no mention of doggers lol. Nice trails and walks for the mutts.

One other motorhome here with a pair of vanlife youtubers in it.

How do I know they're youtubers

Because its plastered all over their motorhome.

Anyway will do for night.

I've ordered one of those obd adapters to lennys and I've booked my remap for 23rd October so I'll start heading back south tomorrow.

Remap 23rd , optician 25th .
