The Blast From the Past Thread.

I remember dragging you out of your van at our meet at the White Horse, it was lovely meeting you Toni I think our paths crossed a couple of times after that, but time goes so quick we left in 2013 🇬🇧 and yesterday was 9 years living in 🇪🇸

😁 Bob and Janie.
Where have those years gone. Those White Horse meets you organised were good fun and a great introduction to Fun rallies. Hope you are both keeping well? Is Izzy the Houdini of the doggy world still with you? The cats of ours she liked have both gone and it must be 4 or five years since we took on the current pair.

Me and my first dog, taken in 2001, I still have the car.

Yes happy days, hope you and Hillary are well, Izzy is 15 and still with us, she can't see very well or hear anything we have a dog buggy but mainly to get her away from home she almost runs home 😁 she does better in the hills as there's less things to bump into, when she starts slacking Janie puts her in the carrier. 😃
This was last week, we ended up walking 3 days running to keep friends happy that couldn't walk our normal day. 🤔 Bob.

We was down in the new forest in our caravan, 😲 my parents was in their VW our eldest had been to see them, came back saying granddad isn't happy the cows have broke his awing zip.😁
It always amazes me how small VW are that daughter has had one for a few years, do you think from an early age they was always going to have one. 😁 Bob.

These were the boots I wore at my wedding 1973 and they still fit, and we are still married !

I had boots like that but in white which I wore on stage in the 70s with my band Snoopy (see photo previously). A few years later we were clearing stuff out and we gave them to the kids to take to the sunday school jumble sale. They came home furious because people had laughed at the shoes 😂

This thread is all about sharing older photos!

Post any picture that's at least 10 years old—whether it's from a motorhome tour in 2003, a rally in 2007, your wedding day, or a pic your firstborn. Feel free to include a brief caption if needed to provide some context.

The rules are simple:
  • Any topic is welcome.
  • The photo must be at least 10 years old.
  • It must be a picture you took or one you appear in.
Let's take a trip down each other's memory lane!

I'll start, here's a picture of two well-known Funsters in on a Rally in Malvern; August 2014. movan and Snowbird

Our 40th wedding anniversary is on Christmas Eve.........
A few years earlier (around 1972) I was reasonably fit.

Me with Sir Alex Ferguson at the the Ebor Festival at York Races in August 2011. My sister's horse had just won the opening race on the opening day and his horse came nowhere in the same race. (Secret Asset is his name or 'Elvis' as we called him)
My Sis' and her husband were 'one horse Johnny's' as they are known in racing circles and such plebs are never expected to win anything.
I took great pleasure in telling him so at the bar and he didn't like it. :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
He was very ungracious...petulant even.

Come on Everton!!!!!!!

I remember that meet so clearly even today as I believe it was my first one and being so shy I was terrified and trying not to show it amongst all those posh motorhomes and funsters with my little basic trafic..
but everyone was lovely and made me feel so welcome, so thank you for that as it gave me the confidence to go to more of them..

think the last time I met up with you and Janie was one of the Norfolk shows when I was with my then partner who had the fifth wheel..
we were parked up just down from you as I remember..
happy days, happy memories..
