The Blast From the Past Thread.

I had an Li150 in the ‘60’s. Used it to travel to work and also from Cumbria to Edinburgh and back every month, in all weathers. Never let me down.

Had various bikes in almost 60 years of biking but now, as am older and a little bit wiser, (or more careful), I have a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and a 1980 Honda CB400 Superdream which I am gradually trying to get back to reliable running.
Finally found a photo of the Spanish Lambretta or Eibar as they were badged in Spain

My band Snoopy circa 1976 - we did over 1000 gigs around the North East club circuit in the 70s - average 3 gig/week, sometimes 8 if we got a Sunday lunchtime. I am top left on first photo, far right in 2nd playing a Gibson Les Paul Gold Top that would be worth a LOT of money if I still had it :crying1: (and I mean A LOT)

Strange to remember sometimes, how different lives we lived back then, hardly believeable to some? 🤔

I sometimes just stop and think how fortunate I’ve been to have what I have.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve worked bleeding hard for what we have and so has SWMBO.
Nothing has been handed to us on a plate that’s for sure.

We’ve both put up with stuff and rolled with the punches.

Definitely different times that’s for sure.

Having looked at posts below I thought it might be Emlyn Hughes, great player and character, used to see him when playing for Blackpool 😁😁😁

Definitely a character.
Whenever he was in the Northwest doing after dinner talks he’d invite me along and sit on top table with him.
When being introduced, I said they missed off your OBE. He said I didn’t get an OBE. I said you did, when you were manager at Rotherham you were Out By Easter.

summer 2009, my first day out in my first van, my little Renault trafic..

couldn’t wait to drive it so nowt put in, just a couple of cushions and a throw and off I went………

I didn’t want my photo taken but my daughter insisted as it was a special day.
I remember dragging you out of your van at our meet at the White Horse, it was lovely meeting you Toni I think our paths crossed a couple of times after that, but time goes so quick we left in 2013 🇬🇧 and yesterday was 9 years living in 🇪🇸

😁 Bob and Janie.

Mrs Westy and I 22/08/2012 at Schönau am königsee in our Harley Davidson days. This is one of my favourite snap of Mrs Westy her expression is priceless😁😁
