I see the Camping in the Forest website says arrivals from noon, but Popeye says 13.00hrs. Is this later time 'cos the marshals won't be ready for us until then? I had hoped to arrive around noon so I could be pitched up, feet up, laptop running by 13.00hrs to relieve a colleague who by that time will be gagging for a lunch break before she goes off to do another job.

So arrival time will be noon Friday, unless not allowed on until 13.00hrs.
Departure will be Monday morning.

P.S. as your first victim, Sandra, I promise to smile sweetly, salute smartly & do as I'm told (maybe).

I have just gone to start my fridge up to put some stuff in and it's not working
I have spoken to Marquis where I bought the van and they said they would phone me back so I'm not holding my breath
I might be on the scrounge for some fridge space as soon as we get there............any volunteers ?????

There has been some confusion with regards to the post code for the site. If you put the post code of BH23 8EB in to google it is landing on another campsite nearby. This is the correct code as I have triple checked it with the Holmsley site.

If you look on the satellite view you will see that Holmsley and the Caravan Club site are a field apart. Coming from the A35 you turn left or right (depending on which direction you are coming form) into Lyndhurst Road, turn right into Forest Road, go past the Caravan Centenary Site and then take the next right into a lane (no name) that leads directly to Holmsley.

I hope this clarifys the reason the postcode does not land directly on the site.

Here's a little reminder of the campsite fees, payable on arrival -Pitchfeesare £12.50/night, EHU is £5/night extra.
The deposit is £10/head & is for additional costs...marquee/food etc.
