Tam & Toby ~~Hunting Zorba

So we had a nice walk along the river ...I've always liked Yorkshire ( which is really Cumbria apparently 😂😂 my bad ) it's one of my favourite regions in England .....friendly locals too I don't think we passed one person that didn't say hello or good afternoon ....it's very warm and clammy too so dogs have been in the river and got soaked ... 5 vans here now for the night .

Loved seeing the co ordinates, always an aded bonus not only to see exactly where you are but great for others to keep for future use. (y) Dogs look like they are enjoying the paddle.

Hawes is a nice town to visit if you have time and if you like cheese it is home to the Wensleydale Creamery

All the best,if you get to crete you could look for DBK's balloon and return.
I've done Crete on a package holiday a few years back and hired a jeep while I was there ....saw a fair bit of the island ..not sure if I'll get to any islands on this trip but you never know

Are you sure it didn’t say West riding? The west riding pre 74 went that far.
Sounds like you’re having fun wherever you are.

I'm sure it said West dales and to be honest I did wonder as I thought Kirkby was the lakes ....but regardless it's a nice area and seems popular

Bet they're happy to be on the move again, "where're we going today Dad?"

Have a great time, love reading about your travels! (y)
I think they will miss my mum but they will be glad to have me back all day rather than me working everyday ....and more walks etc

I'm really looking forward to following your adventures and your photos which bring it all to life, We really enjoyed touring Greece beautiful country but I would give Athens a wide berth
Enjoy your self and I look forward to a virtual holiday.

On our honeymoon in 1987 we picked up a hire car in Athens, first time of driving abroad, the car hire company gave us a street map with arrows to show which way the one way streets went... it was a bit hairy for a while, I did the map reading and Mark the driving and I tried hard not to look at the other traffic.

"Turn right here, no, not this one, next one, oh missed it, ok keep going a bit longer, turn right here, now now!"

We survived Athens and still married 33 years later.

Mark and Mindy We have been to Athens 4 times used to love it, last time we visited it was a frightening dirty dangerous city that I never want to revisit,
Your memories are the best kept as they are.

Safe travels Tam and crew. I shall be watching with interest. I almost did that trip myself, but got sidetracked and ended up in Sicily instead. As you do!!!

Fortunately the weather was better in Sicily than Greece that winter. Although it did snow, which was unfortunate, as my heating wouldn't work.

I hope you get a mild winter, and have an amazing time.

Your Polarsteps looks like it will be good. Is this the first time you’ve used it? I just cannot get to grips with it, so following yours might help out a bit. Do you intend to get the “journal” after for keepsake?
