Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

So as its my night off tonight I thought id take Toby up to tayport for the night....2 other vans up here a wee bongo and a globecar pvc turned up a wee while ago ...had a bit of a walk with the dogs and thought id have another shot of the drone.

Definitely harder than it looks and I need lots of practice lol but ill hopefully get better ....its also quite nervewracking when it goes away out of sight and very hard to concentrate on watching the screen and not scan the horizon looking for the drone.

But you can just make out in this where I'm parked ... just as I was about to descend a bit an film toby ..."GPS lost" flashed up on screen lol so i panicked and turned round quick ....

Enjoy

People like this piss me off though ...broad daylight lots of dogwalkers about etc and does this in full view ...there are toilets open for public use in the caravan park less than 100 metres away...not to mention the carrier bag of rubbish sat outside despite the bins being 20 feet behind him ....if left overnight the wildlife will have that everywhere

Aye i think ill have a word in the morning.

I've parked up here some 10-15 years ....caravan park owner is great and has no objections...even allows use of his toilets, locals are all friendly i had 2 different old fellas chatting about the drone earlier.

I'd hate parking to get banned up here because of folk doing that

Drone seems to have a fair range. I've got the phantom standard but hard to say what the range is compared to your video, I'm not sure mine would get as far down as to your where your van was.

Do they come back 'home' automatically if the signal is lost? I can't remember. Crashed it yet?

Its got a 4.3 mile range but don't think I've the guts to try that lol ....as long as the homepoint is set it will automatically start to return home 3 seconds after signal is lost ...not crashed it yet and planning not to lol. Damage can be expensive

Milo's quite the dapper young dog about town these days! and Jade is just her usual smiley self!
Your Mum will really miss them when you leave, ( and they will miss her too).

Perhaps he’s French, they will even piss in their own garden !
The rubbish is stupid though.

You are meant to keep it in view at all times. Which one did you get? save me trawling back. You are pretty confident by the looks of it, much more than me.

You are but when looking at the screen its really easy to lose track of where you are in the air ....practice makes perfect though

Its the dji mavic air

Don't know about confident lol its quite nerve-wracking at times but won't learn if I don't test its capabilities ...

The vids are really quite good, I'm impressed with the rock steady flying & shooting quality.

Can I humbly suggest you try out some video editing - the free software available is perfectly adequate... just to cut out some of the jarring turns & movement...
Remember, with video - less is more. You'll get more viewers with 5x 2min vids than you will with a 10min one

To be honest the ones I'm uploading are just from the cache saved on the phone and not the actual footage downloaded from the drone which is much higher quality but I need the laptop to do that ....once I get the hang of it ill start to try editing etc just grasping the basics at the minute
