Hope you find the problem soon Tam, if it was me I would change all the maxi fuses, as they like us, all get tired with use.

Ok whoever it was that said the top left fuse in the fuse box next to drivers door deserves a big kiss

Changed both f31 and f49 and for good measure f55

All 3 look absolutely fine cant see a break in them anywhere but one of them was the problem as everything working now

Thankfully ?

I thought I'd taught you to do it properly, obviously wasted my time.
You know how many fuses are in these boxes lol ....and they are mini blades too just to make it more awkward.

Anyway tell me again how I check the fuse with the metre cause I cant see anything wrong with these ones I took out but one must be blown
Theres a 10amp
A 15amp
And a 30amp

Scrub that it was the 10amp fuse I can see it now with magnifying glass hairline split

Weird thing is according to the manual that fuse ( f31) is for the ignition switch and nothing else.

But its certainly fixed the problem with heating and washers , cant check wipers at the minute as silver screen is on but I'm guessing they will be fine too.

Very weird but glad it wasnt anything more serious

Pobably just feeds the ignition switch that then switches the relay coils for heater, wiper etc. The fuses for the heater, wiper etc., will be on the contacts side of the relays.

For next time: Meter on ohms setting, lowest range then measure the resistance across the fuse, it should be zero but you may get a small reading due to the resistance of the leads and how good your contact is.

another way is use audible circuit check if you have on meter , very useful when in difficult to access positions .

You’re welcome Tam but if you don’t mind I’ll bypass the kiss. :Eeek:
A pat on the back or a manly hug will do just fine.:rofl:

Richard.
I'll have you know theres many men of your age would love a hot young stud like me offering them a kiss??

But good call on the fuse

You don’t have to pay, you can do it yourself for free, you just need a printer and patience.

Tam may or may not have a printer, but I don't believe he has very much patience lol. Best pay up and be sure the job's done right first time.

15 years? Are you sure that your wife hasn't already divorced you, Tam?

I think after 15 years she can't contest it from what I've read , but knowing her if there was anyway to delay it or any chance she could get something out of it she would.
I'm in no rush I've no intention of ever marrying again , I just don't want her to get anything if I were to die etc , I have a will but need to update it....think I'll leave anything left to a dog home

For once I'm actually glad to be in the uk

I'll count my blessings, we only had a day or torrential rain and Icy wind, though I see the near by hills have a sprinkling of snow on them. Still preferable to the UK:cold:
