I'm just not sure what anyone can do with that info to be honest.

After all every form I've ever filled in anywhere has that same info including my telephone number , date of birth etc etc

Some bugger just swiped a silver screen out from under me on Ebay...better jot have been some bugger on here

Guy had declined my first offer gave me a counter offer I was just accepting it and got the notification it was sold the bugger grrrrrr

But I did get a brand new set of front struts for £30 so not a complete loss of an evening

Are you putting uprated springs in to lift the front ?
Nah it already has the maxi springs fitted but the near side front has been leaking since March lol so they need replaced. I had thought of getting them done in Spain etc but the a class ones are a nightmare to do.

So I was ordering them on ebay and discovered a set a guy had bought and not fitted for sale near Portsmouth for £30 on Ebay.....

Wouldn`t that just be the shock absorber leaking, does the whole strut need changing ?

Aye but you need to remove the whole strut then compress the spring to remove the shock absorber and rebuild it before refitting to the van

The top mounting are inside under the dashboard , left hand side isn't so bad to replace but the right hand side obviously has no door so getting in under the dash isn't the easiest.
So it's one of the jobs on the list when home.

Not me,,I am bidding on a Sopranos box set.BUSBY.

Did you win it? Is it about opera singers or the trials and tribulations of an Italian-American crime family?

If it's the latter I've got one.

:)
Yea, we have got the whole soprano box sets, they are in the van somewhere, I am hoping that its been so long since watching the original series on TV, that I will have forgotten most of it and be able to enjoy as much as I did before. I think the Sopranos could be classed as our first ever TV series binge, as TinaL & I spent 2/3 days between meals years ago over Xmas watching them end to end on the sofa, wrapped in a duvet....ah memories(y)

Tam, hey Tam, dont come hame yet, stay over there son as long as you can, its gonna be -9C Tonight/Tomorrow night in Fife! Might as well call yerselves Eskimos to put up with that!.
Have fun, at least yer wee dugs will keep yer nuts waraam on that sofa on those cald, cald niiiiights, ken?
Lezzerk (thats Les in Scottish)

Hmmm I'm just going on gas and fuel mainly.

Haven't eaten out since spain and Portugal so dont know how it is for that

But diesel
€1.04- 1.19 diesel.....€0.69 lpg spain
€1.35-1.46 diesel....€0.72 lpg portugal
€1.46 -1.65 diesel ... €0.89 lpg in france
€1.30-1.37 diesel ... €0.40-60 lpg belgium
€1.20-1.25 diesel ....lpg €0.50 -.65 germany

Holland diesel €1.30 lpg €0.54

Supermarket food stuff I dont notice as much as only used lidl since portugal so much the same just can't get some stuff I like and anything sweet is more expensive in France

Bread though €1 a loaf in spain a croissant is €0.29
In france and Belgium bread at least €1.79 for same stuff ( I buy sesame seed bread)
And croissants €0.49

Oranges I can buy cheaper in asda than in any of the above countries lol

Dont pay too much attention to food , but generally I think my food bill in spain was €25- 30 a week using mercadonna . It's more like €50- 60 now using lidl

Blimey you must eat like a king?, our average weekly shop is about £20-£25 and thats for the two of us. Other than when we were in France this summer for about six weeks its been roughly the same throughout Portugal,Spain,Germany and Belgium, actually having shopped in Lidl in the UK for the last couple of months I've found the prices some of the cheapest of all the places we've been through.

Eat like a king lol ...I wish

But lidl in france and belgium dont have the same foods as in Spain etc so costs me roughly double here than it did

You’ll have a new van by the time you’ve finished with all the van shenanigans Tam. Be fit for years after!
Aye lets hope so lol.

Ours is about 4 times yours (around £800 in most months), and theres only two of us too.I don't include booze or dog food. Its a bit less if I do the shopping rather than swmbo but I dont like it and she does. She likes Tesco which I avoid, as I dont think they're good for quality or prices.

worth keeping an eye on F/b group- The Hymermarket
screen come up for on there.

how can an adult live on 10 to 12 euros of food you must live on rice and beans
No idea how someone manages on 10 or 12 euros but my average weekly shop in spain was £25-30 . And that was easy to do. Im not a drinker or a smoker
And certainly wasnt rice and beans , I buy all fresh meat and cook everyday. I only eat cereal or a croissant for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch so really it's only dinners. Couldn't find diluting juice anywhere other than Gibraltar so I spend probably about €3 or €4 euros a week just on juice.
I've found fresh meat to be more expensive in every other country than spain , and fruit which I eat a lot of is also dearer.
3kg of oranges for example was around €2 in spain but nearer €4 in France and belgium.

Cant get a non frozen pizza in any of these bloody northern countries
Spain €1. 89 for a fresh pizza in mercadonna

France, belgium , germany ....frozen only and around €4

Of course I'm not counting dogs food etc in my weekly shop , they are probably about €20 a fortnight in food and treats

You must starve we are very frugal with food shopping in the UK we spend about £45 - £50 a week. In Spain and Portugal we spend about €20 - €30 every 2 or 3 days as we tend to eat better when away in the van.

Amazingly that oil I ordered yesterday which was at a sorting depot in Birmingham at 9pm last night has just been delivered ....that's quite impressive
The nice dhl man even carried the box in the house for my mum and put it in the utility room.

10 litres of shell oil delivered to my kitchen for £26.66

Cant grumble at that.

The rest of the service kit delivered tomorrow...you really cant beat ebay
Mann oil filter £8.50
Bosch air filter £11.21
Mann diesel filter £13.45
All free postage ordered 18th delivered 20th November

The front struts I'm collecting in Portsmouth after I leave lennys.

Then windscreen removed and new seal fitted at high wycombe

Motorcycle trailer collected in norwich

Possibly a toad collected in Boston ....in which case I'll need to dismantle the bike trailer.

Then a quick stop in Newcastle to visit Angela, complete my cv and apply to several campsites with her for wardens jobs.

Then home to Scotland to see me mam who I'm desperate to see as she seems a whole lot better health wise than she was when I left.

Busy busy busy

I'm not a big fan of seafood...I like fish but the rest I'm wary after a serious case of food poisoning in zakynthos

Even the smell sometimes has me gagging now

how can an adult live on 10 to 12 euros of food you must live on rice and beans

Value bags of fruit and veg and yes plenty of rice, pasta and beans. Porridge with water for breakfast which is mega cheap. We're not vegetarian but rarely eat meat and very little dairy which all tends to be pricey. Don't drink that much these days, nothing over the last 6 months.

Works for us and we don't go hungry.
