Basil was a ratFor me it was Basil the 'hamster'
What did you expect ... it was a Fawlty-esq evening!!!!It was a great laugh, not impressed with the food but the entertainment made up for it.
Not according to Manuel, he thought it was a hamster.Basil was a rat

If you like Chinese my mate Will owns the best Chinese ever, China Palace just up the hill opposite the castle entrance. Our morning walk around Arundel, lovely wee town that I wish I'd had longer to explore it. Good park up too despite being roadside. Very quiet overnight. Although I don't think it will last long as a few full time vans there with stuff outside which looks a mess .

Too late now I'm at lennys for dinner then heading to Newhaven overnight as on boat in morning .If you like Chinese my mate Will owns the best Chinese ever, China Palace just up the hill opposite the castle entrance.
He does do take away also
I have been known to drive from mine 25 min away to get one
You got lots of time on your hands Lenny this winter, maybe you should set up a funster help centre, you could offer electrical upgrades and delicious home cooked meals for mates rates and make some pocket money lolHe is too close for comfort.

Was a lovely town that though , my kind of place
I'll definitely be revisiting that area. I said to lenny earlier I think on my next trip south I might spend a couple of weeks exploring the south as I've not really done it but I like these old medieval style towns with the half wood houses etc , there are some lovely places Down here it's just finding flt parkups that's difficultYes is a nice place, very good walks up along the downs.
We have some lovely places down South and as a Brucy Bonus we have that big yellow warm thing in the sky most daysI'll definitely be revisiting that area. You need to visit Canterbury & SandwichI like these old medieval style towns with the half wood houses etc
Same here in the Derbyshire Dales, absolutely beautifulThe south of England was too congested for us when we were there 3 years ago, and as FLTs it was a nightmare, even trying to find somewhere to park during the day. We gave up after a few days and headed up north as fast as we could.
I have often thought the Midlands gets overlooked as a destination. There are some lovely old towns and villages, canals and rivers, woodland, steam railways, etc.
Went up North to York earlier in the year, traffic up there was a nightmareThe south of England was too congested for us when we were there 3 years ago
That was probably the hill near Rhuallt just after St Asaph assuming you were on the A55. That is quite a slog up that long incline but it's definitely worth giving your wastegate a wiggle to check it's moving freely.
That looks like you are in a camping ground? That's me parked up at Newhaven and you wouldn't believe it but I'm parked right next to my old 2003 burstner argos 747. I sold in 2010 . What are the chances of that View attachment 691320
That photo is of my old burstner, probably the last campsite I was ever on , a week before I sold that van. That looks like you are in a camping ground?
I thought I must have been mistaken. I know how you love to hate campsites, same as me.That photo is of my old burstner, probably the last campsite I was ever on , a week before I sold that van.
I'm parked up next to it just now at Newhaven port . If the folk are still around in the morning I'll see if it's the same couple from Perth I sold it too
That was Pitlochry, you can actually see my 3 little horrors in the background climbing up the witches hat .I thought I must have been mistaken. I know how you love to hate campsites, same as me.
