I take it, it's your trailer board on the back of the rack. Should be able to get a light from any car accessory shop.

Although on his ignore list have continued following him offline. Fantastic photos of amazing scenery. Must be working for the Irish Tourist Board. Keep it coming.

It was a split second of complete stupidity. I pulled in to the pier at spidal ....the road is wider at the top of the pier than at the beginning .. I'd drove up to the top and thought I'd rather face the other way ...so I pulled a perfect 3 point turn ...drove back along a bit . Stopped , realised I was facing away from the wind and decided to turn around again ...obviously I'm at the narrower bit of the road and instead of looking at the camera I was paying attention to the point In the road I had been when turning the first time .. and I smacked the wall ..only very slightly but enough to smash the tail light and fog light . Didn't even notice I had hit it at first.. only when I got out with the dogs did I spot it broken .

I know I kept the old lenses when I swapped the lights for led ones I'm just not sure if they are with me or if I put them in the vario when I had a clear out before leaving . If I have them I can tape a lens over the light hopefully if not ill need to go parts hunting .

I suppose it could have been a lot worse .

You got off light boy, if you hadn't had the rack it would have been £200-£300 for a Motorhome lamp.

Well unfortunately I don't have the spare lenses with me ,I must have chucked them in the back of the vario . Not sure they would fit anyway as these ones are led.


But with a bit of glue and patience I've managed to get them to a point where if I get some clear sticky tape they should do me for now ... at least keep me legal anyway till I can fix properly .

I swear someone must have put up a post on some community webpage or something that a motorhome bumped in to the wall as that's now at least 6 people who have come down to where I'm parked and made a point of looking at the back ....2 have even shook their blooming heads at me through the window . .it cannae be a coincidence.

CaptainPaul does such a thing exsist?


I'm no imagining it lol that last woman walked right to the back of the van turned round looked at the bumper then at me through the window shook her head and walked off .

I certainly have lol .it's like everyone is suspicious... I just asked a fella going past with a dog if he could do me a favour...before I had a chance to tell him he was in with " what's the favour? ..is it illegal?" I was like eh? I said naw I just need someone to tell me if the brake light comes on that broken light there when I press the pedal 🤣🤣

Anyway it doesn't...I've broke the feckin printed circuit board too and the earth wire has broken so I'll have to fix that before I put the lens back on .

I need to buy sellotape anyway as typically I have every other type of tape bar clear sticky tape . So I'll have to tape a bag over it just now as I think it's gonna rain tonight

Most folk down there don't even have tin openers in their homes never mind internet or tech savvy, your witnessing how the old network works, be sure that someone has seen it happen and told the rest and now your the mad Scotsman who crashed his van
If you hang around long enough they'll maybe write a ballad about you!
My advice... pay no heed to them, your probably the highlight of the year for many of them!
Or just shout out the window at them Pog mo thoin!! Lol

Right folks help me out here cause I'm missing TV programmes. My TV is set to London gmt and it currently says 18.03 but my phone is telling me 19.03

What feckin time is it ?

Tv will need tuning to the local station and should update its time, or you in one of those back water places where everyone’s some relation to everyone else if you get my drift.

Car accessory place will have Lens repair tape usually sold as a pack of red, Amber & clear, cheap and works well.

I'm tuned to Irish TV but same time here as the UK.

I've had to put it on Gambia time to give me correct time on telly 😁

Aye but I'm nowhere near a car accessory shop at the minute . There's a wee supermarket in this village I should be able to get sellotape tomorrow. I'll have to glue and tape the lens on anyway ..Once I attempt to bridge the printed board.
