Redirect your mail to your sisters new address when she moves

I redirected mine 2 years ago when I moved and this year had a CCJ against me just because the LA cocked up council tax and used my old address.

I got it cancelled but would not have known but for the redirection.

The LA were informed by email and replied that emails could take up to 6 weeks to be processed - longer if they were busy!

The last mail I got was a 3 year old fine from Portugal lol.

That's the only stuff that would possibly come here.

It's the stuff you don't know about that will cause problems.... unknown traffic tickets (not parking) that could cause problems at border control

Aye but then I've not had any before. Only parking tickets. And all on vehicles I no longer have.

Not sure , I've not played about with it yet . I'll investigate more tomorrow, I've also emailed the ebay seller to ask them as I bought it because it said no lines. The lines are seriously annoying

On my old reversing camera Tam you turned the lines off in settings, latest one I have has a link wire. Can’t remember which end it was but instructions said to cut that wire to get rid of the lines.

Not suggesting you cut anything but if you have the instructions does it mention anything like that?

No
Instructions are very basic on this , only 3 wires to connect. Red -pos , black -neg , green to reverse.

Tam with your address, just get a redirect on your post for a year. Your sister could do that when the house is sold and by then she will have a new address to get it all redirected to. Gives you plenty of time to sort when you get back. I think you can redirect for two years.

I've sorted the camera issue thankfully. There's 2 cameras one has the back up lines the other doesn't so I've just swapped it over.


And another job ticked off the list.

Once the glue is set I can clean them up but what a difference that's made.

The problem is I'm struggling to get anywhere to do it before I leave , and from past experience it's caused me more probs than its avoided

Once my sister has moved in I might phone them then and explain the situation.

I'd wait until you are back.You don't want it cancelled whilst away.

Can't change license or passport

The driving licence with an old address is perfectly legal if you do not currently have a new address. The passport has no address as the only address required is where you want the new one sent to

But my licence and passport etc I would need to send off to have the address changed. Can't do anything with them till I'm back.

as above. don't worry you are over thinking things.My brothers ,who lived in germany for 40 years still had his uk licence in the last address he lived at in Essex. & before anyone asks he took tests in the 3 other countries that he also had driving licences for.

Hi Tam,
Re the belts, you could try BCS Motorhomes in Littleborough. They always renewed the belts when selling any used motorhome. They new what they were doing and quick. I haven't dealt with them fo over 4 years now, but they were always very helpful.

But don't they have different viewing angles?
Normally reversing is 120° and rear view 90°.
A reversing camera is not much good for rear view.

Not sure uncle lenny , it was a 2 camera kit I bought . Nothing on the cameras to identify which was which so I just fitted the first one I lifted out the box .. and apparently that was the reversing one as it had the lines on it. Fitted the other one and the lines have gone. Not sure about the angles. Haven't noticed a difference but I've not had the van out on the road yet . Will probably have to adjust the angle I've set it at too as the rear of the van is on chocks just now to give me room under it.

Few more little jobs done today.

Carpet trimmed around the small window and the door so now all the walls match.

I still have the ceiling to do but that's a whole day job I think so will have to wait till the end of the week I think .
