Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Sounds like you have a black tank like the Laika, they had the option to decant into a cassette. 🤔
Has it got a toilet like an RV that you push a pedal to open the flap. 😁
Bob.

I don't have a bike
But they are useful for transporting other stuff ... We brought a big wheelbarrow back from France once, we bought it at the start of our two week holiday and didn't half get some funny looks with it being strapped to the rack. I have to admit though that it could have been because they thought it was rather OTT to transport our toilet cassette! 😄

Hmm I wouldn't hang anything on that back panel lol.

Besides I may have a dirt bike on the scooter rack

I wish you'd make your mind up! 😄 I thought you'd said you weren't going to bother with a bike/scooter now due to having the pooches. 🤔

Superglued the bumper back together to hold it while I fibreglass it. At least there's not any bits missing bar one little square View attachment 777132View attachment 777133
I didn't realise you had all the bits, that makes it an easy repair.
If I was doing it I would use tape & resin on the back then grind the cracks out to a vee and fill with Gel coat filler. It will then be stronger than the original.

I had a scooter with me last winter with the pooches.

I wasn't keeping the scooter as it was out of mot anyway. But I kept the rack to put on next van. The reason I was interested in the race van was so I could carry a bike in it. I may or may not put one on the back of this I've not decided yet. But wouldn't hang a bike rack on back as the back wall in the shower needs attention and I don't want it getting worse

Yeah all the bits are there. It should repair quite nicely

We picked up a swivel lab chair (eBay purchase) from Chester at the start of a Welsh tour and mounted it on the bike rack. I pulled in for petrol near Tenby and when the wife went to pay, the cashier asked if it was the "naughty chair" !

Should have said it’s the mother in law’s seat….😆😎

Having an absolute nightmare trying to remove all the old silicone from this van....I loathe silicone. And I hate folk that smear it everywhere on vans .

Not had a great day on it today , I keep finding more things wrong and just want to slap the liar that sold it. Neither the engine battery or the leisure battery is secured .. both move around freely under the bonnet. The bloody electric step keeps getting stuck , the reverse camera was wired with 2 wires twisted together not even taped ...and it doesn't work anyway but could have caused a fire. I did thankfully get the boiler, fridge and gas fire to work so that's a bonus .

Changed the dodgy old fluorescent lights above the sink and cooker to slimline led ones .

Screw fix sell silicone eater also acetone will break it down, just not sure how it would react to the bodywork

Yeah I've ordered some online that's acetone free. Supposed to be OK on paintwork etc. Used in bodyshops apparently.

Looks like you got plenty to do Tam but will be worth it when you’re on the road in the winter in it and how you want it. And much better than when you bought it. (y)
Aye , I mean I can fix most of it , just wish sellers would be honest when you ask them what works what doesn't. And when they lie and claim they've used the van bit clearly haven't etc. Ive a feeling this guy bought this last October and never used it once . The mileage would seem to point that way too.

He's very lucky it was me that bought it and not a bidder on ebay.

It's gonna be a few weeks before I have it motd that's for sure

Yes Hymer 900 I believe although I'm no expert...
Tams the man for these yokes 😉
Beautiful van the 900 but almost 30 feet long, I went to view one once, such a wonderful piece of engineering.
