Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Looks a cracker Tam, I wasn't sure about the unusual kitchen layout at first but it actually looks like it will work well.

Have the pooches seen it yet?
They've seen it out the window lol

How complicated is it to remove a satellite dish?

Why not fix a solar panel to it and use it as a directional one, just think of the extra free energy you'd get over winter by being able to maximise the input... especially as you've been used to having enough to power Blackpool illuminations! 😄

As above. I left the plate in place. Cut a bit of tin to cover the hole and stuck it in place with plenty sealant.

Not got round to spray foaming the hole inside and still need to find something half nice looking to cap the hole there.

Are you taking the new van our for a rumble about or you wanting to get some work done on it first?

It's mot is up on Tuesday. But I plan to clean up all the underside etc before I get it motd , I prefer to have no advisories. Gotta get it in the driveway first though . So probably not get out in it for a while.

I want to remove it so I can fit another solar panel where it currently is . It looks like at least a 150 watt that's up there but it only has one leisure battery at present and that's under the bonnet.

I need to speak to uncle lenny to discuss my options but I'm considering just leaving the current leisure battery to run the exsisting stuff and adding a second one later that's independent and has its own solar panel , b2b charger etc and using that to power a diesel heater , my TV and a few charging sockets etc.

Tam, I've lost the plot a bit now with all the shenanigans... What's happened to the big one of yours?
Internets a bit slow here in Yorkshire!!
What’s happened to the blue vario?

It's sold but not collected yet. Deposit paid 2 weeks ago it gets collected around the 12th July

It's gonna be Tam's shed I think ... Or his toad! 😆
No I'm gonna buy a caravan for that lol.

Once the other vans have gone I think a caravan left here as a base is the way to go. Especially as I've a fair bit work to do to the new van.

Just take the sat dish off and leave the foot plate, no one will see it as your putting a solar panel over it…😎
Yeah I might do that. I'll never use the sat dish and all the cables etc for it just make my wardrobe untidy lol

Glad you got a result ! I’m sure I’ll have a tale of woe very soon re selling a motorhome

Nice van Northernraider
tip for shower curtain, wash in fabric conditioner and it wont cling, came from an old friend on Facts, UncleNorm
I'm not sure I'd want to wash in fabric conditioner though..isn't it bad for the skin

Sorted. I just blocked the street for 5 minutes till I did my maneuvering. So it's in the drive now.

There's a lot of work to be done that's for sure. Broken rear bumper to fix too that I'd hoped was fibreglass but is actually plastic which is a pain.

He had it held together with duct tape

currently removing all the carpets and underlay to put up the loft aswell as the big cumbersome table. Carpets too hard to keep clean with the dogs which is a shame as they would be cosier.

The pics he had on ebay don't give a good representation of the amount of work needing done sadly. But hopefully it will look a lot better in a month or two.

Clear discolored Silicone everywhere 😔
