Tam n pups winter trip 2022

In villanova I la geltru today , not the best parkup as its jammed but its free and right on the beach. I'd have preferred sitges but not easy to park there these days either.

Had a quote for a vet in figueres for dog worming €20 per dog plus cost of tablet €2.50 per tablet

So basically €70 . It gets expensive this dog ownership to take on holiday

My return ferry from dieppe to Newhaven has cost £70 more too than it cost coming over 🤨

You seem to have a knack for finding expensive vets!

I phoned 2 others in figueres one closed on Monday and the other said she can't do it. I thought this one was expensive too but then I got charged €97 in France 2 years ago for just 2 dogs , last year I used that marks guy in Germany at €8 per dog but its a long detour to Germany.

The rabies shots were good at €25 each that's about average. Just the worming that always seems a pain . But if anyone has any recommendations of vets on route I'm all ears

All this stuff needed for dogs yet us humans just sail through borders…. Although I don’t fancy rabies’s jabs and worming..😆😎
Aye its mostly bollocks. Especially the worming nonsense. My dogs get wormed every 3 months anyway . I'm sure most folk do.

Our dogs hardly get wormed, we don't do it unless we feel there's a need as we don't like to give them stuff otherwise. Our vet actually thinks it's the tick treatment that's more important for returning to the UK but of course that was dropped and just the worming kept.

If you saw the worms that came out those pups in Morocco after they'd had a tablet it was unreal. Yet no visible sign of worms before that.

Mine have a habit of eating sheep poo etc when on walks and other crap so I'd rather be safe than sorry

We always do them when we've been abroad, even if it wasn't compulsory (such as returning from Ireland) we still did them.

 ... ours will occasionally have a nibble at rabbit droppings or in the case of Tazzy her own freshly produced 'sausages' but not much else, however we did have a dog previously that used to love cow pats ... especially rolling in them.

I have to say that when Motorhomes like this come along and quite a few more that have featured on the thread offer pretty much all you are looking for that you continue to convert the Van parked back at you Mums.
The work, hassle, time, funding, and at the end you will look It having used it and think l should have done this that or the other different, if the Major Manufacturers cannot get it right, sorry, but you have no chance.
One of these Motorhomes with a little personal change and 90% less work, time and funding would surely fit your needs.

I forgot to add that the Dogs that we all follow, will be bored beyond imagination loathing about whilst you do months of work having had so much fun, sunshine, beach runs and all the rest for the last few months.

I know this lol... that's why I'm still looking at other options. If I can find something that suits me that maybe needs a little refreshing etc then that would be my preference.

Problem with these ones is importing them from Germany.

But far more choice over there than in the UK

Love Vario’s …the Van Lifer/Nomad sort…. that one looks more like a retirement bungalow on wheels to me…even if you strapped sand ladders to the side….certainly no Street Cred….or better still this…
