Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Aww! It’s a shame about Jackie. You seem to make good travel buddies. I hope you meet up again at some point. 😀
We do sometimes lol. I'm sure she'll be back at somepoint. But sometimes I just prefer to go do my own thing without having to think about what she's doing . So I enjoy the break when she goes off on her own.

Jeeso the NHS don't waste any time

I turned 50 only 2 days ago and my mum has just text saying a bowel screening kit has arrived in the post for me lol

Is this the joy I've to look forward to lol
Wait until you get the 'finger' exam invite ...

Just had a very territorial French woman come out her van and rant at me for what walking over what I'm guessing she thinks is her pitch.

It isn't, she's parked right next to the footpath and has her chairs, table , plants, lights and various other rubbish strewn around outside on the walkway . I never understood a word but the sign language was obvious. So she got laughed at and a shake of the hand ....I will deliberately walk past there again later just for kicks.

Probably one of the ones who leaves bad reviews

She's brave going off on her own. If it was me I would stick to you like glue. It would be "yes Tam, whatever you say Tam, wherever you want to go Tam" :ROFLMAO:

I think to be honest that's the only reason she follows me around lol ... security

I need out of here tomorrow These campsite dwellers are driving me nuts lol.. the men can't be at peace. Theyre either washing vans , driving about trying to find sattelite signals or ferrying bottles of water back and forth constantly. I like people watching occasionally but none of these folk are on holiday lol ....its like work. The French have colonised again and have circled the wagons and created their own ghetto , the Germans are playing with their offroad buggies or messing with their trailers . There's an old van came in that you wouldn't think was road legal, its up on jacks with ine wheel off and they are under it banging at something lol

I was sitting outside but I'm becoming a nosey neighbour lol.

Fatima was over again chatting but the Germans gave her about 10 minutes and then were shouting her over. I think they think she's their pet lol.

Don't miss out on it Tam, accept all that is offered. John's mate had a partial resection just before christmas after 'not bothering' for too many years, he was asymptomatic too.

You love it really. Wait until the Danes start cracking their walnuts. You'll know you are camping then.

Gives a whole new meaning to Pooh sticks 😂
I’d been trying since I was 50 (now 65) to get a prostate exam without success, then got a phone call from my brother, prostate cancer, phoned the surgery got an exam same day followed up by the reversing camera exam!!!!!! Nothing found phew!

Left kinetra this morning, followed the n1 down to rabat , had a stop at the carrefour supermarket on route for some supplies , managed to find the spice mix to make my own chicken tajine , or a Scottish variant of it anyway lol. Picked up more dog food and a bag of cat food too. I'm stopped In rabat now near the kasbah of udeyas and the medina itself , so after an early lunch we are going to go exploring. Can't stay overnight in this carpark as I'm right by a busy road but can park here a few hours at least while we have a look around .

It seems the bigger the town you go to the worse the driving becomes . How there's not more accidents I can't fathom as the scooter riders seem suicidal. And the taxis are a nightmare

Pics later

It’s bound to be big and busy doh, it’s the frigging capital of Maroc.

🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦

A bit of advice, I’d give Casablanca a swerve. Go in by train or taxi from Mohammedia.😳

I didn't say it was big or busy lol ... it doesn't look any bigger than kenitra where I am ... but the driving is worse .

I'm not sure if I'll go in to casablanca yet

Not even looked that far ahead 😁

Rabat is very nice, spent a good couple of hours wandering around. I even got a history from one auld fella , all about hassan tower and the French kidnapping mohammed v and taking him to Madagascar.

This is the kasbah of udeyas

Love the photos. Did you buy anything Tam?
From the kasbah? No although if I had a house I think my van would be full of stuff

After the kasbah ( which we rocked by the way ) we headed in to the old medina. Very different from the one in assilah but equally charming , the dogs love these places as the smells are everywhere . But it's a nightmare trying to stop them picking up scraps and jade and ela have a habit of crapping in the most inconvenient places. The locals in Morocco look horrified when you pick up a dog turd . And ela had to treat me to a particularly soft specimen . Sometimes I could throttle them

After the medina we walked to hassan tower and the mausoleum. Had I thought beforehand I'd have left the dogs in the van at this point as the Royal guards would not let me take the dogs in. So pics of the tower and mausoleum are from the outside only.

then it was back to the camper to find somewhere to park overnight . Nothing really suitable in rabat unless you want to pay 80dh for the guardian parking which is just a dirty carpark in the centre of town. Didn't fancy that so I headed south on the r322 and I stopped in the town of bouznica, im just a few hundred yards from a lovely beach . Lots of stray dogs around here but they are a bit Barky when I'm out with mine , all look in good health though and the locals seem to like them as they follow everyone who walks by , even kids are petting them

So this is where I'm staying tonight, it seems quite an affluent area, I'm in a big deserted carpark at the minute but I may pull round in to the next street later so I'm out of sight overnight.
