I think there was an old John Denver song, a line of which said " you gotta get tighter with your tears".
You can let yourself be heart broken and miserable, which won't help the animals or you can do the very best you can for a select few.
Both Tam and I have 3 rescue dogs each, one of mine came from Scotland, it is not necessary to leave the UK to find poor sadly neglected animals.
Sadly one doesn't have to travel far to see cruelty - some of which takes the form of over-indulged, obese animals both in the UK and further afield.

Glad she made it. We had our vet appointment all sorted or so we thought. Had apt with Clinica Guardcort for 4.30 today. However the clinic was closed until 5.30. When they opened a lovely lady explained that she had been practicing under that name for 30 years and a new practice had started using the same name. Unfortunately she didn't know how to do the certificate so we will not be crossing tomorrow. We were in the wrong place! I'm hoping that the wind will drop by the time we get sorted.

Good idea

I read that for some farm dogs it was recommended to worm every two weeks so I'm sure that you can't over medicate a street dog. Unlikely that most people would consider worming or have the necessary meds with them. Going to be hard seeing dogs that don't have the level of care that we would give them.

Use the vet I went to , she's by far the cheapest and she will make an appointment for you with port authority right after the vet appointment

Surprisingly not , I've seen less dog poo here than there was in Spain.

I've managed to slip another meal to the pack runt ...and a worming tablet in a bit cheese , she just got the food finished when the rest showed up so that was good timing. I unfortunately can't possibly feed all of them but I'm gonna give them all a handful this morning before I move on from here.

The dog situation is hard but I'm trying to sort it in my head by thinking these dogs would still be here if I wasn't, so giving them a little food and a bit positive human interaction while I am here can only be a good thing.

I know you are joking by the lol but l have absolutely no doubt that you would be successful and get the support for such a venture,there are dog lovers everywhere and many wouldn’t hesitate in contributing.

I was half joking and half serious.

I've just fed 7 dogs out here . And it goes through a fair bit of food.


So joking aside I'd happily buy food and feed the dogs we meet if anyone wants to chip in for the odd bag of dog food Jackie and I will hand it out to them.

Revolut is good as it would be easier for people to donate and it gives the best rate for money exchange for many currencies, I have it and it’s as simple as a button press to instantly put a tenner into your account.. easy to set up on your phone and it’s a Mastercard so widely accepted.
