1 of my all time favourite Floyd tracks he starts on an acoustic then switches to an old 1950s Broadcaster no fancy buttons or dials etc and blows the other guys off the stage! Lol

Liking the trip and the posts, very helpful with our journey through Spain. There's enough room for a Frenchie to slip in between.

The French sun eclipser moved down near the entrance to the parking area, across from two picnic benches. Four local women have been arriving each afternoon and sitting and playing cards in the sun. An old guy comes around with two dogs and yesterday stopped to chat to them. The dogs were yapping, but the Spanish don't seem to hear. The French woman did. Tooting the horn and standing waving her arms about and making fists (from the safety of inside her van ). The Spanish don't seem to hear .

We're leaving today. I wonder what we'll see at our next place.

So I gave my 2 noisy Spanish neighbours a good selection of very noisy and loud guitar solos and a rendition of Billy conollys Irish heartbeat complete with bagpipe band from 7am onwards that'll teach them . Then after my morning walk I moved my van in to town so I can do my laundry . Its in the machine now and I have a nice view of one of the many harbours . Might just stay on this spot tonight lol

I don't know if you have seen the news in UK, but a dog walker was killed by the dogs. She was walking 8 dogs, i read that the leads got tangled, and she fell

Would probably still be alive if she had stayed within the law.

Genuine question: what is the law?
Back in the 70's when I worked with beagles we used to walk upto 30 at a time (15 couple) on the public road.
Years before in 1963, my first job on leaving school was in a Boxer breeding and showing kennel. There were three of us working as kennel maids. The boxers were divided into three groups of approx 10 to 15 animals, each of which had kennel buildings and a large communal run.
On starting the job it was emphasised in no uncertain terms that we must under no circumstances PLAY with "our" pack when we were exercising them.
Exercise consisted of walking with one's allocated group of dogs around two fields that adjoined and were owned by the establishment.We carried a lead and hunting whip.
On one occasion, I recall one of the girls hád apparentlystarted playing with some of he charges. The group had become over excited and boisterous, the girl had tripped/ got knocked down and been jumped on by 10 or 15 large playful boxer dogs. Luckily she managed to regain her feet and conntrol and was unhurt but very shaken.Her clothes were in shreds, although I recall she was more afraid"the boss" would find out and she would be sacked on tve spot.

Genuine question: what is the law?

Depends on the landowner, council etc, I think but rule of thumb is 6 max? Professional dog walkers should have licence and public liability insurance. It's anybody's guess how many unlicensed dog walkers are out there. Nevertheless I wouldn't wish that fate on this young woman or her family

I do wonder how some of these folk walk so many , 3 is a handful . I've met folk walking 5 or 6 before and it's carnage . 8 dogs that all have different owners must be chaos

There is a woman I have seen here in the summer walking beside the lake and sunbathing. She has a inimmum of 8 border collies, all off lead, all perfectly behaved. They never move more than about 10 feet from her and pay no attention to other dogs or people.
Absolutely brilliantly trained.

Some people think it is funny, some are frightened, some may have stick loving or aggressive dogs of their own.
I am just thouroughly annoyed and embarassed by her behaviour!

One of ours (Meg) is a total tart and walks up to anyone, wagging furiously. It is a bit embarrassing sometimes.
In her case it isn't a stick but the hope of a treat. She never gets one but is a total optimist.

They don't we see it frequently here by our local beach. They pretend they haven't noticed and avoid eye contact. When we point it out they act surprised. Same culprits every time. Only a matter of time before all dogs are banned
