Not really taken many pics today , just of the beach on our second walk .. I've done 15km today and not actually gone anywhere lol , 3 walks along the promenade fairly adds up .

Perfect time of year, empty beaches and the dogs aren't baking, looks fabulous.
Yeah it's lovely. For a scot it's nice and warm and I'm getting a nice tan , but it's not hot enough to be hot and sweaty . So ideal really . Dogs are enjoying it too . Milo has a swim every day

Hopefully I will be free from work next winter and will go and try it out. Only done March and April in Spain.
Well the last 2 times I was in Spain I came over in January and worked my way round slowly so it was cooler and wetter in the North but then very hot and hard in the summer in the south . Andalusia is definitely my favourite region but in July etc it is really fecking hot , 40° plus etc and dogs struggled . So I'm actually loving the current temperatures. But if ela passes blood tests OK next time round it will open up more opportunities for us as we will have Spain Morocco, peloponnese Turkey for winters .

Don't think I've seen rain since Ireland thankfully

Nice one mate so glad the trip picked up was a bit worried when you was getting rained on in Ireland it's amazing how much a bit of sun helps
And the picture of you both sitting outside drinking a beer to me is just pure holiday and enjoyment
I'm really drunk normally to shy to reply happy new year tam and all you other filthy animals

Such lovely evocative pictures Tam. Reminds me of winters spent in Spain before we were struck down by ill health. Hoping to go again though but in the meantime I'll just get jealous.
BTW I know you're in Span but where are you?

Curracha at the minute , between Vera and mojacar.

Northernraider I can fully appreciate why you are enjoying Spain and the warmer, drier weather but when I compare the photos you took in Ireland with the ones in Spain I much prefer the scenery, history and architecture of Ireland. Spain looks bland in comparison. Lots of sand, concrete, high-rise apartments and sand-coloured buildings. A distinct lack of green.
It’s such a shame you didn’t see Ireland during better weather.
Despite what I have said, I am still very much enjoying your posts from Spain.
If I can find you a Vario, will you come to New Zealand and do a blog from here? We’ve got Wi-fi now!

Sure thing . I've never been to New Zealand.

Bare in mind though inland Spain is much different from coastal Spain.... its greener and there's often more history etc. But right now I'm just after warm dry sunny weather , so what you're seeing from me just now is not all Spain has to offer. It's a beautiful country but its way different from Scotland or Ireland

KiwiKampers.... Obviously someone with impeccable taste.... 😂🤣👍

Just had an earthquake this morning , shook the whole van
I lived just inland from Mojacar(worke at iceland in vere for a bit) which was my local beach .Had a few good earthquakes there, my pool looked like it had a wave machine on when it happened 😅.
Cheers Cris.

Pics of the day , had lunch and a walk at carboneras , and then drove up a great big hill and parked for the night overlooking cabo de gata. Cracking views and sunset . Great spot for new year , should be fairly quiet but if any fireworks we will see them
