Once again the 2 way ignore that Jim claims stops people I have on ignore from following or seeing my content is obviously not working.

Not the first time this has happened and I'm starting to wonder if it works at all .

Such a waste of Red Wine....Tinto de Verano (Summer wine) is made from a cheap plonk....with Gaseosa blanco or lemon...it's a summer drink...quite nice during the hot Spanish summer.....served over ice..

It’s only stuff you post can’t be read, anyone else’s posts even on your threads can be read as those members won’t have that person on ignore. I don’t believe that Ignore prevents members reading a thread that other contribute to even if that thread is started and owned by the person setting the ignore.

Hope that all makes sense

I was told by Jim that if you had someone on 2 way ignore you basically became invisible to them. They aren't supposed to be able to see or comment on anything you post.


And it does say here they can't see your content at all. So they shouldn't be able to see this thread.

Well I don't ignore folk for no reason. To end up on my ignore list they've either repeatedly been offensive in some way, or shown themselves to be a pain in the ass.

So rather than the other option of me just not posting I stick them on ignore for a peaceful life.

But that's a few times now I've noticed replies to people who shouldn't actually be able to comment on here.

Yep I noticed that too. I read somewhere that they can watch you if they don't sign in (as can the rest of the world) but don't see how they can be allowed to comment🤷‍♀️
 
Ots actually really annoying as I've just been shown screenshot of a discussion happening on my thread between 3 different people I have on 2 way ignore .

So it's pretty annoying and disgusting that they clearly can still read and comment on my content and I can't even see their comments. .

So needless to say I'm a bit pissed off that I've been lied to.


And if its the case that I can't stop idiots from following and commenting then I'll simply stop posting.

And I can assure you NO ONE has ever been put on ignore by me for either mentioning a campsite or suggesting a toll road etc

Being racist , homophobic , having a dig in an aggressive non joking manner or continuing to divert the thread or just post nonsense etc would be reasons to be ignored .

Not any of the claimed reasons given by those being ignored.

But till its sorted I'm on mute
 
They can’t see your posts you can’t see theirs. Its working as designed. Threads are treated different, you cant block someone from a whole thread or you are then forcing others to ignore them. No one you ignore sees anything you post.

Telling others who you ignore though is againt the rules here, it causes division, if you ignore someone only you and me should know about it.

That isn't what you told me before Jim, you said they couldn't see my content at all , which surely means any thread I create . They certainly shouldn't be able to come on it and discuss the fact I've ignored them and make up pathetic reasons for me having done so .

The whole point of being able to ignore is to avoid any of the childish crap that clearly is going on on my thread that I can't see but everyone else can . That's madness

So now there's read only members on here thinking I've ignored folk for mentioning a campsite or a toll road .

It ain't right that I can't just stop people who annoy me from accessing or commenting on my content , it's border line stalking and creepy as anything .

Then I apoligise as I mis-explained it. users will still see actual threads started by users that 2-way ignore them. However, only their first post will show, then no other posts.

an example why. Someone who ignores 20 people might start an interesting thread, and then never post on it again, it might go on to have 50 posters posting good info into that thread and those 20 people ignored by the op would not see anything of it. That’s not on, just because you block somoone doesnt give you the right to have them ignored by everyone else.

In my opinion simply to do exactly what they are doing which is to wind up the person. Which was probably why they were put on ignore in the first place.


Every other media site I'm on or have been on you can just block people.

This protecting the perpetrators rights while subjecting the victim to ongoing hassle is ridiculous.

As I said above its no more than stalking in my opinion.
