Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

@Northernraider
Nip back to Decathlon and buy a couple of their towels, they are invaluable for the dog and they dry very quickly.
We use tepid water in a bucket/bowl and a small sponge to clean her off when mucky and a Decathlon towel to dry her off and also put one in her bed to soak up the moisture so her bed stays dry.

Missing out on your thread the last few days as for some reason not been getting alerts.
How long you at Totana ss we are heading there. Probably won't make it until tomorrow (Wed).
I'm in murcia just now but heading to totana this afternoon to collect the pup then I think I'll stay overnight at the monestary or the picnic spot near it again. Be there till Thursday morning I reckon then going to go visit estrecho i think which is just a few km's past there.

The aire at totana was pretty full when I popped in ...and Judith and Martin are in England till Saturday

What kind of towels?

Decathlon do a micro fibre towel the ones we’ve got are nabaiji but they change make. They’re rolled up with an elastic round them, all different colours/sizes and cheap. They’re a smooth suede type feel & dry really quick! Ask in shop.

We use them for our everyday towels quick dry and don’t smell!

You'll have to do "where's Jade" photos - she'll be peeping out from under, over and around rocks, buildings, greenery etc. And underneath a motorhome is a great place to stay out of the sun but watch for the leash getting caught on pipes.

At 4 months Roly will go from 11pm until 6.30am between wees. I do the early morning and Brian does last one of the day. You'll be doing both of course :D2

Remember rule no 1...Start as you mean to go on with Jade and don't give her mixed messages. Consistency is good(y) She will soon learn her boundaries.
Yes I've been getting that drummed in to me from mum

You'd think I was in the ha bit of spoiling pets :p

That's not bad then I can live with that

It's 3am I'm bothered about

Met Paul and Angela. ..talked their ears off for an hour or 2 ....theve gone shopping and I'm off doing my laundry

It's in a portacabin type thing in the petrol station ....the whole building moves when the machines are spinning I'm feeling seasick

Don't know what I do to funsters ...came back from laundry and @Badknee have done a flit:p

Just having some lunch then I'll go fill and empty and head back to totana to collect jade.

It's a scorcher today I'm melting

That's it no going back now that you've changed the title to include Jade, well done and all the best with the pup , you won't regret it honestly. , First couple of weeks until you both get into each other ways and foibles , she will be unsure for a couple of days but will soon learn you will only be good for her:). We got our dog from Bothwell Bridge SSPCA , as a two year old , almost eleven years ago. Two weeks later I realised how much she meant ,total unconditional love from the dog. She will be 13 in August , and just has the start of arthritis , runs about like a two year old , then gets slightly stiff when she lies down. Bit like me without the running around.
On the very outside chance you don't get on with having Jade , I'm sure there are lots of people on here that would take her , If you teach her English:D:D:D.
Well done and when you get back to Scotland , if both of us remember , I will meet you , shake your hand , and bring Jade a wee biscuit(y)(y).

Yes I think she will bring more to my life than the few sacrifices I need to make to have her .....i hope ha ha.

I do hope she can handle the moving in the van quickly as I've no choice but to drive at least 15 miles or so once I pick her up

And unfortunately she will have to go in the crate to do that as I have to have her restrained somehow ...but I'll try and settle her a bit before I move off.

I'm here now but a little early ....im going to avoid visiting any of the other doggies while collecting her .

Just off Pont Aven at Portsmouth and catching up!
Can’t wait for photos later!
Under grey skies so wish Back in Ricote or Totana!
Awww that's a bummer ...its a scorcher here today I want to get parked up and go sit in the sun with the pup :)

Paul and Angela were telling me about ricote earlier it sounds nice I'll have to pay it a visit

I bought Lifeadventure ones fist time-very expensive, the I found the Decathlon ones, they are great we have a load of them for different ‘jobs’ but now we prefer the travel towels from Mountain Warehouse, they look and feel more like a conventional towel but dry just as quick as the Decathlon ones!

Thanks for that I will look as ours are a few years old and may need changing( cut up and used to clean bikes, boots etc!!)

We didn’t know about Market day but we are small enough to get out another way. We took the bumpy scenic route over to Totana, glad we didn’t meet anything coming other way!

Ok so I've picked up my wee pal :) ...she went in the crate no problems and just lay quietly while we drove up to a camping spot for the night ... she was a little bit sick but that's understandable ..didnt make any fuss though she's been good as gold even when other wee dogs here are barking and fighting she just looks and thinks meh can't be bothered :p
Had a wee wander so she can have a good sniff ....wee bugger won't stop eating the grass though ...and I don't want stringy poos

We are out enjoying the sun now :)

AaW she's lovely Tam but looks like a good set of gnashes on her. If she shows signs of being scared of something just ignore it. You make a fuss of her and she will associate it as being rewarded for being scared.

Just make sure she has food and water and build her a den... cover between 2 seats for example. Some dogs like this to feel secure. Blue has 6 trophies for obedience but in all honesty I think a lot of it is how you train them.

What breed is she? Looks like theres a lot of border collie in her.

I got her a crate in the end so she can use that as a den and for travelling ...seemed to be okay in it that time so hopefully she will take to it

She seems to be livening up now lol pulling at this lead wanting to go explore

Just as I need to make dinner :p

Fantastic Tam. She's bigger than I expected though. Looks like you'll have no problems with her running with the bike when she's older.

See you've taken her under the guardianship of Jesus! Or is that for you?
