Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Sounds like a sticking one way valve, most Hymers they are fitted to the top of the water pump, the pumps with the valve are cheaper than the ones without!
Talking of valves inside the rear garage where the handle is too open the waste tank drain there are 2 little blue valves there that if you turn them water comes out the bottom of van. Any idea what they are?

Hot and cold water drain, hot normally has a red knob. Probably been replaced don't often see red ones for sale. The o ring gets butchered when people over tighten them.

I'm just checking with bank if I can transfer that amount in one transaction and then checking train again

I can get to Macclesfield tomorrow just after 12 noon
The guy had offered to collect me from the station before I haggled another 500 off it so hopefully still will ha ha
I finish work at 16.00. But if I can be of any use or help just shout up.
Where are you planning to stop tomorrow night
Winking Man just outside of leek does stop overs aren't sure of price

Thanks Paul...I'm planning to just head up the road with it. Only 4 hour drive so I should be home late evening that way.

If you got a reduction because it needed cleaning then a bargain. From your postings it's obvious you are good at cleaning so you'd be giving it the works anyway. Looking forward to the before and after pics, and of course your next expedition.

In a former life I was a car valeter for 2 years.

Yes I'm hoping jade associates a hose wash with rolling in poo and stops it. I'm not mean with her and I don't like doing it but I really want her to stop as the car seat is now disgusting and I can't have that in my mum's house or in my camper
Carry baby wipes in the car & mh. They work well in a rolling-in-poo crisis.

Frankie had an outdoor shower so that wasnt bad.

This car has nothing in it lol cause I've only had it 5 days
And it's a bucket :p

Probably cos he’s been reading this thread
Ha ha ha

He's relied now ...I just think he's a little annoyed with me asking questions about it as I think he hoped he woukd sell it to someone who knew nothing about them and he's been put on the spot a few times.
Mainly as I asked about cambelt changes etc and he said he had it changed last may at 90000 miles but that it had been changed before at 72000 by previous owner

But when asked for proof as in receipts etc
He has the one from previous owner But not the one he claimed to have done.

Any mechanic worth his salt will have put the sticker under bonnet with miles on.

He was getting quite shirty earlier.

Avoid upsetting him, you might find your fresh water tank......isn't.
I'm not intentionally upsetting him....I only asked a few questions to clarify a few points.
I plan to flush all the water system anyway lol ive 5kg of citric acid here I'd bought to do franky and didn't get the chance

I was thinking I might take it down with me and that way the tank will get a good swirl round and rinse out on the way up the road

Congratulations on getting your new van. She’s not Frankie, but you will enjoy tarting her up and getting her up to your high standard. Looks like good vfm so if you have to spend a bit,it’s still worth it.
First trip is.......?

I don't think you will need 5kg of citric acid. I use 500g in about a quarter tankful and run it into the boiler. Heat up the water, leave overnight and flush it out.

Well done Tam, that's a bargain, first job is to get the cam belt done and a service if he hasn't got any proof or receipts.
Then a good clean, you wont lose any brass on that one.
