Into google.
I got one for Gina (JRT) last winter, they are a fleece but they are waterproof. We were out on a cold wet walk for about 1.5 hours and she was still dry and toasty warm last winter.
The one I got has short 'sleeves' for front legs only and covers part of her undersides.
She hates it when you first put it on but after a while is quite happy-she hates a harness too, goes into a real sulk!

So we've had a nice walk around the pit/lake ( thanks for the heads up @icantremember )
And then a walk through the village and around the outside of the chateu ( no dogs allowed inside boo)
This is probably one of the quietest aires I've ever stayed on ...really quiet overnight not a bit of noise and had a great sleep. Was busy overnight bit lots have cleared out already this morning. I'm about to do the same still not decided where I'm going yet but think I'm gonna head towards caen and not bother with mont st Michael as I've seen it before and it was very very busy

Yes that's the one anthea and the same aire I was on..very beautiful village

Aires along the coast or majour routes are always busy the real gems are in tbe middle of france

Have stopped here in vire for lunch ...its windy now and peeing it down I've discovered why this region is called bretagne because the weather is like Britain.
If it stops raining I may venture round the village after lunch otherwise I'll be having a read of my book and a siesta before moving on :)
Stopped at a nice boulangerie I passed and got a lovely crusty loaf and a fruit and nut cake hmmmm
Big wedges of bread and peanut butter for lunch with caramel cappucino yum yum

Watch the waistline Tam:D
Too late there I'm afraid ....need to get cracking back at the gym once I'm home.
First time I've had jeans on in months ...some I can't even get fastened and the rest are hell of a tight lol which is nae bloody guid so it's diet and treadmill central when I'm home.

I'm seriously unimpressed with the cake !!!
Looks lovely on the outside but it was more like a fruit loaf than a cake ....pfft
Jade liked her bit

That will teach you to have glutinous thoughts and you shouldn't be corrupting Jade with such things.
It would have been far better if you'd skipped the cake ad slathered your chunk of bread in peanut butter, raspberry jam and thick cream or Greek yoghurt. After all you say you'll be going on a diet anyway lol

Anyhoo I ended up in bayeux. ...now I came here back in 1992 when I done a whistle stop tour of France belgium luxembourg Germany and holland with 4 friends in my very first camper which was an old vw that I'd bought two weeks before for £675 .....it always stuck in my mind as I had always thought it was the bayeux that old Roy sang about in this song which I liked.

Of course i soon learned different cause it was anything but blue and I'm sure it rained that time too ...but I thought it was a memorable town.

I then visited it again back in 2014 with an ex girlfriend and I now remember being a little underwhelmed ( I obviously forgot )

Well it's still no that nice and it rained again while I was out but never mind the cathedral is still braw bit the guy who built it should have made it just a little bit smaller as it's a bugger to take photos of it .

But I tried so here they are as well as the wee narrow road I ended up on getting here ( satnav issues) the surprised pig I nearly ran over ..and a couple of nice old buildings in town.

So today's adventure was caen. ...no place to park in the centre so I'm a few km out in a place called herrouville-saint-claire I'm along a little lane near the canal which is nice and parked right opposite "le petit lourdes"
From there we had a cycle/run along the tow path of the canal in to caen ...its a 10km round trip on the bike so not too much.
But dissapointed with the castle as it's really a fortified carpark these days with a couple of random buildings museums inside ...but free to enter and bikes and dogs allowed.

Cathedral is having work done on it to sandblast the stonework ...mskes a loveky difference but the scaffolding ruins the photos.

So here's what I saw.

In honfleur today .....parked just along from the massive aire that looks like hell.

Cycled in to town but I'd have been better walking in this instance as the cobbles are a nightmare on skinny tyres.

In other news my sister messaged today and mum's back in hospital with possible kidney stones ....shes in for a scan at the minute so should no more later

Best wishes to your Mum, Tam, hope she is soon fully recovered. Take care and try to make the most of the last few days of this trip. Take care once you are back on the crowded British roads. :)

Well mum's still in the hospital , the scan came back showing no stones but she's in a lot of pain so my sister won't let them send her home until they have done more checks and tests ....at the minute none the wiser but they've been giving her morphine for the pain she's in.
Seems to be one thing after another with her just now ....its crap :(
I only spoke to her on phone yesterday and she was fine ..but sister got a text at 05.20 this morning from her in agony.

Will see if there's any news tomorrow

It's a worry

Sister also thinks she's lonely but my mum is so stubborn she doesn't admit it ....but I've been thinking that for a while and more so since her wee dog died as that was often the only time she saw people was when out walking dog.

My mum was never one for having a lot of friends so it's mostly family she sees now and then apart from my brother and sister obviously who are in and out regularly ( sister stays in same street ) so I'm always worried something happens when she's on her own.

I'm hoping jade perks her up a bit ....but she's hyper so need to get her to calm down a bit lol
