Is that Fourges? Lovely aire ( there are 2 but we stay on the one under the castle.)So we've had a nice walk around the pit/lake ( thanks for the heads up @icantremember )
And then a walk through the village and around the outside of the chateu ( no dogs allowed inside boo)
This is probably one of the quietest aires I've ever stayed on ...really quiet overnight not a bit of noise and had a great sleep. Was busy overnight bit lots have cleared out already this morning. I'm about to do the same still not decided where I'm going yet but think I'm gonna head towards caen and not bother with mont st Michael as I've seen it before and it was very very busy View attachment 257353 View attachment 257354 View attachment 257355 View attachment 257356 View attachment 257357 View attachment 257358 View attachment 257359 View attachment 257360 View attachment 257361 View attachment 257362 View attachment 257363 View attachment 257364 View attachment 257365 View attachment 257366 View attachment 257367 View attachment 257368 View attachment 257369 View attachment 257370 View attachment 257371 View attachment 257372

Safe travels home!
Fleeces and long trousers will be required!!
Too late there I'm afraid ....need to get cracking back at the gym once I'm home.Watch the waistline Tam
Yes motherThat will teach you to have glutinous thoughts and you shouldn't be corrupting Jade with such things.
It would have been far better if you'd skipped the cake ad slathered your chunk of bread in peanut butter, raspberry jam and thick cream or Greek yoghurt. After all you say you'll be going on a diet anyway lol
You went North to quickly, it's been sunny and high 20s further SouthHave stopped here in vire for lunch ...its windy now and peeing it down I've discovered why this region is called bretagne because the weather is like Britain.
If it stops raining I may venture round the village after lunch otherwise I'll be having a read of my book and a siesta before moving on
Stopped at a nice boulangerie I passed and got a lovely crusty loaf and a fruit and nut cake hmmmm
Big wedges of bread and peanut butter for lunch with caramel cappucino yum yum

Hope she's ok. You're nearly home if you have to get there. In other news my sister messaged today and mum's back in hospital with possible kidney stones ....shes in for a scan at the minute so should no more later
Ditto Tam safe travels.Hope she's ok. You're nearly home if you have to get there.
Well mum's still in the hospital , the scan came back showing no stones but she's in a lot of pain so my sister won't let them send her home until they have done more checks and tests ....at the minute none the wiser but they've been giving her morphine for the pain she's in.
Seems to be one thing after another with her just now ....its crap
I only spoke to her on phone yesterday and she was fine ..but sister got a text at 05.20 this morning from her in agony.
Will see if there's any news tomorrow
It's a worryThinking of you all Tam,life doesn't get easier as we get older that's for sure.
Hope the morning brings better news for you all
