Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Tam surely it's easier just not to go on the thread, I could see it shaping up to be contentious last night and I thought there will be:reel: on here for sure so just walked away, it's way to easy to get involved in arguments there's no need to and in the end all it does is leave you wound up and Jim with work he doesn't need while he's away at Malvern with his family. Just walk away at 6ft 4 your big enough. :)

Tam we will miss your travels .
Take care of you and Jade and safe travels
I've loved the thread and you have shown a wonderful side of Spain that I never realised existed.

Will miss your adventure enjoy the rest of your trip look us up when you are back in Scotland we are in crook of devon so not far from dunfermline safe journey :)

I never intentionally go into the U shaped thingy (and from what I've accidentally seen of even that, the belly thing must be quite something), and try to ignore anything non-motorhome related in the motorhome sections - not always easy, as I am like you, and the demographic of this forum is always going to be challenging to some of us when things stray off topic. The "Gammon" is strong here.

But anyway, I renewed my subscription last week after some consideration, and it's mainly this thread and others like it which tipped the balance. So you better bloody well start updating it again before long!

It's a shame your thread has to finish this way but I respect your decision. I've noticed this last couple of weeks you've been getting quite irascible (on occasion quite justifiably) other times not so.
So give yourself a break Tam,it's been a brilliant thread til now, hopefully you might come back and share some more. Meanwhile look after yourself and Jade. Happy travels.

There is an old expression.......”Don’t let the buggers wear you down”.
My grandchildren were winding each other up yesterday, but I managed to persuade one of them that his time would be better spent enjoying a game of footie with me.
I no longer get involved in arguments with tossers,it just ain’t worth my valuable time and is generally too negative. Move on.
I look forward to reading more of your great adventure.

Thanks for a nice thread , hope you return when you have recharged your batteries (y)

Takes a bigger man to walk away sometimes, and after all,.... the the ones that get you down on here are “the minority”

:D2

Safe travels Tam..(y)

Was going to ask what was hanging off the wall?

...but if Tam has gone "dark" for now....:(.

@Northernraider
Could you not just keep to, and update just this thread (pretty please)?

Hey Tam there are loads more people on here would sooner you stayed, me especially have loved all your pics & words so hope its not too long before your back. Maybe a few days on the beach then you will feel better in yourself & will come back to us. Safe travels dude.:D

I've really enjoyed your photos of your travels through Spain and Portugal. Enjoy your break but hope to see you again soon.

I'm so sorry you have felt the need to withdraw from the forum, i have so enjoyed your travels, living every day with you, so will really miss your postings....

I wasn't aware of the other thread, so have just been back and read every post start to finish and have to say I'm shocked. I never had you down as such a negative person. Why? What did you gain?

The original post was so highly unnecessary, and then to persue such an aggressive trolling position was unforgivable...

Unfortunately, i think it gets forgotten that no matter how passionate we feel about a subject, it doesn't mean we are right (it's still only ever a personal opinion), and therefore shouting an opinion at others does make you any more right.

Our society is, for the meantime, a democracy albeit a young one (as opposed to our previous feudal systems) and means that we govern for the majority - therefore there will be losers. Not great, but probably better than some social systems...

Anyway, I don't think I'm that much older than you, so really don't want to sound like a disappointed Dad :LOL::LOL::LOL:

Keep those wheels rolling and enjoy the sunshine...

Only 2 threads I followed,,,YOURs and New,so I don't know your reasoning for dropping out.
I have thoroughly enjoyed your thread and found it inspirational.
I am from Crossford and I am planning to do Spain in January 2019 with my wife and 2 dogs. My wife has taken a great deal of confidence in reading of your travels.
Take it easy and enjoy your journeys.
Lots of Funsters thinking of you and jade.

Like you Tam I sometimes read a thread that has turned nasty and want to add my four penny worth.

Nearly 70 years on this planet has taught me to count to 10 or even 20 before hitting the Post Reply button. It mostly turns to hitting the Delete button instead.

I can then feel a whole lot superior to the trolls.

Enjoy the rest if you do stay off posting for a while but just remember there are far more people here that like your postings than anything else.

This has been my favourite thread and I have read it daily. This is what motorhome fun should be about.

Perhaps like the freemasons we should ban all discussion of politics and religion, they always lead to disagreement.

Hope you’re feeling better.
I know how you feel about some of the threads, I often start to reply to something then delete it and close it, most of the time they just wind you up & it’s just not worth it! :)

Tam have a good rest, get well and come back soon.

He, he, happened to a friend in France he didn't wake up in time & couldn't get is van out until after 3 pm.

It gets to you like that sometimes. I took a year away from the forum when I had had enough of the sh1t that was thrown at me.

Enjoy the peace and quiet although we will miss you
Think its Tam thats throwing The Shit,,BUSBY:)

Aha so the threads migrated over here now.
Sad

Ive enjoyed this thread, but right now it's become a "goodbye thread" and we don't allow those under any circumstances. If Tam wants to return and continue with it I'll re-open it then. Thanks.
