Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Well not a very eventful day today ...we drove up and stopped at nazare for lunch and had a cycle along the promenade ....not much to see except a nice beach. And then we drove up to leiria where we are parked up at the foot of the castle. Feeling lousy today I've got a full on cold now throat is grating face is burning up and nose is like red rum and stomachs a little out of tune too. That and the lack of sleep last night means I'm knackered .....been lying down the last couple of hours dozing off and on. Looking forward to a good night's sleep tonight hopefully
So I'm hoping I've not picked a bad spot to stop in for a Friday night

Hope you feel better soon , horrible sore throat and cold, old fashioned I know but try gargling with a crushed aspirin. Nothing to loose and it could help.

Oh you are a lovely lot ...thanks for the well wishes. I hope it's just a cold as seriously burning up and achy .....had to force myself out for walkies with jade.
Gonna have a pizza for tea with some iced tea ( getting used to it now ) then I think I'll have an early night and hopefully feel a bit better tomorrow.
Here's where I am ... .not been out and about yet.

Couple of paracetamol with your tea help you sleep better and plenty of fluids :)

Morning .....well guess why it was a big empty carpark!


Went to bed at 11 .....woke at 4 coughing and needing a wee. Crawled back to bed jade wanted in so just let her.
Struggled to get back to sleep then around 10 to 6 kept hearing these poles banging

Looked out window and the market was setting up ....had to get up and move van to carpark accross the road ...2 policemen standing at the carpark entrance grinning ...dont think the buggers would have even told me if have just got stuck in the middle of the market stalls lol.

No mention of the market on park4night despite 60 reviews


Anyway parked up and went back to bed for a bit and got up at 8.30

Still feel rotten coughing up flem now .....bloody cold
 
If you had got blocked in by market stalls there must have been something in the van you didn't need that you might have been able to sell:D.

Now that's more like it .....although sadly with a runny nose watery eyes and a bark like a Labrador I'm not looking my best so not easy to pull totty

Aye well they were certainly close enough it was right next to them .....bad enough where I was I'd have been really peed off if I'd been in the aire

I need to get earplugs lol

So after spending most of yesterday in bed feeling rotten and sorry for myself and after a fairly decent sleep last night I moved from leiria to coimbra this morning.

Parked up in a loveky wee motorhome approved park just over the river from the city

Lovely spot.

Still got an aching throat and guts are a bit dodgy but feel better than yesterday .

So after a good walk round the park jade and I cycled over the bridge in to the old town and up to the university which sits right on the top of the hill ....thought I was going to have a heart attack by the time I got up there.

So here's where I am and a few pics from around coimbra

Might be my last post for a while as I'm needing a break from here I think so I'm gonna send myself to Coventry for a while


It's been fun but I get way too caught up with the constant crappy threads on here having a go at what ever favourite minority group there is of the week.

I was sadly always one that would fight anyone's corner but often I feel I'm doing it alone and it gets me down so I need not to see it.

Hope everyone's having a good day and I'll see you on the other side xx
