Ha ha ha well I just met another podenco there and it's like a bloody lurcher so if she is part podenco she might well be tall.

She could be many things Tam, but one thing certain, she's yours(y). You've both got years of adventures ahead.

Why is it so difficult to get diluting juice /squash in spain?

Don't get me wrong I like fruit juice as much as the next guy but it's full of sugar and fattening and the fizzy stuff is ok once in a while but I need squash and cannae find it anywhere here

One mission accomplished this morning
1 new pair of sandals
6 pairs of trainer socks ( not for use with the sandals I might add as that's an English fashion disaster)
2 new dish towels
All for the princely sum of 10€

I'd imagine they simply squash their own cheap oranges?

I buy the highly concentrated squirty bottles you can get them in most supermarkets in UK..cheapest in Ludlow. .20 servings in each..next time you are in UK try them..they wouldn't add much to your payload.

Same problem in France-too much sugar.
We buy low sugar Tonic water, combine with ice & a squeeze of lemon or lime, usually use the ‘Jif’ type lemon sold for cake making....makes a really refreshing drink!

When I lived in Spain we found this abandoned pup on the campo, to cut a long story short, she turned out to be a Podenco/Great Dane cross, ended up size of a donkey and weighed in at 54 kilos, great dog though.

We were in the same position in France recently, so after reading your thread decided to have a look and came up with the Expat Q&A above.

Good stuff and the poster of that wants it for the same reason as me ....im not a big fan of plain water so with squash it means I drink more but not full of sugar.

I'll try the next carrefour and see , I've been in the eroski and couldn't find it

They do a lot of British brands at Iceland Tam. Google for the nearest branch. I know they have branches at Javea and Torrevieja but lots more I am sure!

The low sugar squash usually has artificial sweeteners which my urologist says is bad for your prostate and bladder. I like fizzy water with a dash of natural lemon juice, no calories and no chemicals. Or beer of course

yes we always struggled to find it. Eroskis have it but it is hidden with the lime juice cordial by alcoholic drinks

I think I have seen it in out Carrefour but I'm not dead sure.

Foreign foods section/aisle Carrefour
Also check out/ask for syrup or cordial rather than squash.

Thanks for the offer.
I'll check out the carrefour and iceland suggestions and will check lidl too just in case.

Tessiere do a few zero sugar syrups which you dilute like squash. The lemon one is particularly nice - better than British squashes. Think they do them in Carrefour.

Morning folks
Well doggy owners I'm after a little advise this morning because as good as jade us in a lot of ways there's one thing that's starting to drive me nuts and it's effecting the training progress.
She's obsessed with food , she wolfs down her 3 meals like age was never going to see food again and when out for a walk she's just constantly mooching for scraps etc. .to the point it isn't always food she's trying to eat but anything she can get in her mouth.

Trying to teach her things like sitting , lying down fetching a ball etc she's so obsessed with the treat she can't process the command. This seems to be getting worse instead of better at the minute and it's driving me nuts.
First few times we try something she does it but then she just obsesses with the treat.
She's getting fed more than enough so it isn't that shes hungry.

Our Chocolate Lab was exactly the same, but there are loads of Vidz and post on line. Here is but one of them. It does get easier, she may well be obsessed with food due to her fighting for it in kennals. Saying that my Lab is still a scavenger.
