EPC Plc proper load of scammers. Legitimate european collection company who I can assure you are not in the least afraid of illegally using any or all of the legislation in place to confuse, harrass & deceive you. They have no qualms about using data from one country in another in breach of the gdpr & data protection laws.Got another one of these this morning View attachment 613534
From Budapest, i wonder if anyone ever pays these?
they work in all eu countries running many toll schemes & or parking companies & as above have no qualms using info in one country illegally in another.Interesting that they were able to get your address - thought all data cooperation had ceased since Brexit.
It is an EU wide company with offices all over .believe they send the data to a UK company which I assume has access to DVLA data.
go with your gut , it smells, ,badly.I don't suppose theres anyone on here who lives near Inverness?
I placed a wanted add on gumtree for a scooter rack and ive had someone today message me saying they had one available.
They phoned and have a very distinctive English accent. They said about sending it to me by courier as they work in warehousing.
Sent me photos of the rack ...its an easylifter.
Says he wants £140 for it . Which is a very cheap easylifter..
Now heres my concerns. The gumtree message came from "william"
I asked the guy for a photo of id as he wants me to pay £60 up front and the rest when delivered.
The photo id is a passport of mr martin bridgin . Birmingham
Asked his adress on phone he initially said 33 edward street inverness then he whatsapped me and said his home address is 24 old Edinburgh road inverness .
So im a little suspicious.
He may well be genuine but my instincts are screaming scammer.
I have his bank details , phone number, passport photo etc .
But it could all be false
He's phoned me about 5 times in the last hour. But each time he just makes me more suspiciousIf he's texted u can u ring him?
Nice coloured jacket by the way dogs wouldn't lose u....![]()
That's an expensive bit of kit for 140, bargain or scam, I'd say a scamHe's phoned me about 5 times in the last hour. But each time he just makes me more suspicious
I originally said id go collect and he said that was fine then he phoned and said he could get it delivered. That's an expensive bit of kit for 140, bargain or scam, I'd say a scam
Can you offer to pay on collection ?
Nice little trip over the Cairngorms ?
Yeap completely different rack.... Light board, channel, hitch all different!I originally said id go collect and he said that was fine then he phoned and said he could get it delivered.
If you look at the photos he sent the first rack is not the same as the next set of pics he sent.
Im convinced he's a scammer just amazed at how much work they put in for £60
Im not sending him any money thats for sure
Love the pic of Ela sucking her cheeks in to taste the smells. Looks gorgeous there. Nearly as nice as Nidderdale where we are at the moment on a Ccc THS. No sign of any funsters thoughAbsolutely knackered tonight ... that was 4.5 hours of walking done today . That hill isn't steep enough for them it needs to be more of a gradientDid you manage to glimpse any of the newly hatched Haggis? I'm led to believe that they should be starting to emerge and getting to grips with their 'hill legs' balancing about now.![]()
Poor little bugg@rs, I knew life was difficult for them but surely they should have 'beginners' slopes to start on.That hill isn't steep enough for them it needs to be more of a gradient
I think the pictures of the rack itself confirmed it was a scam as when he sent the first pic he claimed it was less than a year old. Soon as i saw the other pics i noticed the lights and the actual bike platform were completely different. He tried to call again last night about 9.30 but i just ignored it.I'm a bit late to the scooter rack party, but given you had a passport photo of him, I'd have asked him to take a picture of the rack with him in it, that should have confirmed it one way or another, or just asked for a picture with certain random items included as well as the rack.
About time you got fit boy.Absolutely knackered tonight ... that was 4.5 hours of walking done today .
He doesn't have one . He's a scammer with a brummy accent. Probably never set foot in Inverness. He might not store it at the Old Edinburgh Rd address but the first photo is def. not from there, different style of house.
Very nice but who took that last picture?
Ssshhh it was done bfor effectVery nice but who took that last picture?![]()
