Tam & co the great winter escape

Made some progress in clearing out the vario. I got more in to mums shed than i thought i would. A lot of stuff to sell that i will no longer need. I can't believe how much stuff i had bought to work on the van , tools ive never used and won't now but i can advertise it all later.

And i forgot that once i move in to the motorhome i will be able to store a few things in the caravan till i sell them , then sell the caravan.

So im getting there.

Most of the parts ive stripped off the Vario i will take with me to Wissel in the motorhome so he has a slightly more pleasant drive back with it ( less rattles)

It should only be the motorbike rack and the spare wheels left in the back which i can secure down .

Tam you probably already know this but the x244 can suffer with a rusty sump and the front crossmember

Yes ..theres an advisory on the crossmember for showing signs of corrosion . Hopefully i can catch it now before it gets worse. I did the one on the hymer.

Owner says sump gasket is seeping so ill replace that next oil change.

It will no doubt need jobs doing here and there but ill give it a good once over

Careful not to drip oil residue on Mum's drive. ;)

Well we best hope Wissel doesn't change his mind about the vario lol . Ive just sold my welding plant. Raining here again today so ive still not got it back on the ground and the lights refitted etc. Bloody weather. Hopefully get that done before weekend.

And braved the cold and got a haircut before getting on train tomorrow... didn't want to scare the southern softies with my wiley hair

I was born and lived in the northern outpost of Luton for 7 years, since then I've migrated south to a point where I'm stuck without seeking French residency. I'm struggling to think of any "northerners" who aren't "softer" than me 🤣😂😀 Apparently there is a "Gap" at Watford and it is rumoured there might be life the other side of it, but then I guess those people probably think the Earth is flat!

Better trim that beard as well then.

2 changeovers with 8 minute windows i hate public transport
Public Transport is a great theory, alas, like you, I don't have much luck with it!
Hope you have a smooth journey.
