Tam & co the great winter escape

That was the right one much more suitable for full timing.
Yep i think so . It will feel absolutely huge though now I'm used to smaller .

Its not as big as franky was but about a metre longer than Toby.

But surprisingly only 10cm longer than the vario with bike carrier.

Lovely van. Did you sort the payload query out.
I think you will be very comfortable, and hopefully cosy too.

Fingers crossed that the logistics work well for you.

Karen
Not yet but one of the others i had on watch on ebay was the same chassis but rated at 5.5 tonne so ill check what the axle weights are etc and if i can update it i will.

Hopefully all that electrical stuff was done correctly, by what cables you can see one video it looks good but I suppose if your doing that much and using good kit it will be done properly.
You wouldn’t want to give Lenny HB a head ache sorting it😊
Only joking it looks very good.

Not sure if insurance has jumped up or not i can't remember my quote for the hymer last August before i sold it but safeguard quoting £581 for the euramobil.

I like them as unlimited miles, glass cover , EU useage and breakdown but seems a tad high.
If you don't want unlimited think about putting a restriction on as it can make quite a difference to the quote, eg I'm just about to redo ours and we currently have 5,000 miles as our limit, our policy last year was £263, this year with the same provider via Lifesure it's £268 but if we want to increase it to 7,000 miles it jumps up to £366. I went through Asda Money last year and the same this year but no-one can beat my renewal price ... I'm not complaining though!

As you are rebuilding rear floor anyway have you thought of making step up rather than level which would give more height in storage lockers.
Really nice van (home)👍

Wissel has kindly offered to check it all out for me and to help relocate the monitors etc. Uncle Lenny HB is safe on this occasion

I think Tam might need unlimited mileage as he travels a lot. Don't know about raising the floor as I found some Euromobiles are a bit deficient in headroom at the rear. May not apply to Tams model.

Didn't realise until I saw that last pic of the lounge that it doesn't have a garage, that's a bit of a pain as you were thinking about scooter. Goi g to be about 9 m with a rack on the back.

As least it won't fit on my drive.

Yeah , but that said i do prefer a lower bed than the over garage transverse. I loved the big frankia but wasnt keen on the bed and getting the scooter in and out the garage was a challenge sometimes.

Its shorter than the frankia though and i got on your drive with that 😁

No you didn't that was the Hymer you washed Frankie in the road. 8m absolute max on the drive.

Tam have you considered an electric bicycle instead? If it's only for odd trips to a shop etc would that suffice? You could get one with a higher speed which would need insuring etc like a moped but be much easier to look after especially with all that solar/battery kit so no fuel to buy and possibly be easier to store inside the MH so no need for a rack.

Ive decided not to buy the euramobil

Especially if i can't visit uncle Lenny HB
You will have to let me know where he lives, he won’t tell me, I have a few jobs for him:wink::rofl::rofl:

The latest e-bikes have 80/85 Nm motors and some coming out 95 Nm. With that amount of torque they should be able to handle Tam's weight.

But just the thought of spending £3k - £4k on a bike would have him in tears.

Aye sod that

Besides they haven't got one that does 70mph yet

I think he needs limited milage as I'm very🤢🤢🤢🤢
I only did 8000 on last trip. Which surprised me considering where i went.

It just goes to show it really is a small world. Especially when you consider ive nearly 600 miles to go just to get to the tunnel or ferry.
