Tam and Toby ~~ Hunting Zorba .....Take two.

I'm considering converting to a black tank so you might be able to answer a few questions (if you don't mind). What capacity is your black tank (litres) and how long does it last empty to full? Is it remote from the toilet & if so what system is used to get the toilet contents to the tank.
It’s a 200 litre tank with macerator system so when it comes out it’s just brown water.
As I’m always conscious of not travelling with excess waste water we have been emptying as a matter of course when we can so we haven’t even took the black tank over 20%, however I think it’s not the black tank filling up that would be an issue (fresh and grey would be the issue) so I don’t think we would ever have an issue with a full black tank, you would easily get 2 weeks using it without a empty been required.

Your point about fresh & grey makes sense & is what I'd aim for. I have 220L fresh that lasts around 5 days including showers etc. I've never found out the capacity of the grey but it's pretty full by the time we need water so a black tank that matches that capacity in days is what I want. Without accurate measurement (as yet) I'd estimate that I've room for 150 - 200 litres which from your experience is more than enough. Does your macerator operate before the waste enters the tank or is it used to pump it out? Thanks for the information - it really helps.

yes i thought that too, it looks like its fried and like the ones my mother used to make, flick oil/lard on it whilst cooking with the spatula.
Is there another way?

You use 220litres of fresh water in 5 days ?

That's a lot of water

I'm about 130 in 8 days and that's just being safe I could probably do 10

Not a lot different if there is two of them

I used to say 'Mum, sunny side up please' 😂😂
Ah you're one of those that likes a complete and soft yoke

See I'm actually not that keen on eggs ...I like ommeletes mostly

But for fried I burst yoke and mix with the white before I fry it as I really don't like egg white on its own. ...it's tasteless and slimy

Tam, not really. I found the perfect wife. She only likes the white, so cook 2 and get 2 runny yolks 👍

Depends on what I'm doing with it.

If it's a breakfast bun/bap/roll (or some northern term :roflmto: ) with bacon and sausages, I do break the yolk so I don't end up with it all down my shirt when i bite in to it.

Last night I had beans on toast with a fried egg, sunny side up, on each slice.

I didn't eat eggs until a couple years ago, like you, thought the white bit was grim, quite like them now.

Well despite any probs we all might have I looked out the window 20 minutes ago and there was a young guy homeless looked about mid 20's lifting leftovers out the bin at McDonald's ....
Can't watch that so I nipped out and gave him a couple of tins of soup , 4 slices of bread, some cheese and a couple of apples.

Just put them on ground a few metres back and said enshuldigen se bitte das is fur dich .....no idea if it was right but he did take the bag and wander off.

I know there's loads at home too but I'm not often parked right beside them and I just can't see it ...

Kinda makes you think

Well done Tam.

But did you give him a tin opener, or was it an initiative test?

Any acknowledgement of thanks?

They are ring pull cans ...he kinda gave a head nod but that was about it ...
Guy in another motorhome hung out his door and shouted something over to me waving his hands about when I was going back to van ...no idea what he said but it didn't sound friendly so never bothered replying ...

Afraid a tin opener was my first thought :(
Come on guys what decade are you both in

If they hadn't been ringpull cans I wouldn't have given them 😉

No I'm in the flt spot round the corner ...there's a MH service area in McDonald's car park ...I'm up in the far corner ..there was 4 vans here overnight but only me and 1 other now that was here when I arrived on friday.

Stellplatz looks pretty busy

So easy to do the right thing Tam even though a little inconvenient. Gives you peace of mind. Time to move on and enjoy your travels.
Glad you did'nt adopt the attitude from" the motor on brigade and all will be fine".
It was a joke read the picture

Sure it wasn't the McDonald's worker clearing the bins? :giggler:
