Other Information:

Manilva is situated as a base from which you can explore Andalucía, with its picturesque white towns and villages nestling in the region’s mountains, to its historic cities such as Seville, Malaga, Granada and Cordoba. Just a short hop across the Strait of Gibraltar from continental Africa, namely Ceuta and Morocco. Gibraltar (duty free) is a 30 minute drive. The nearest village is Manilva or the town of Puerto de la Duquesa both a few minutes' walk or cycle along the beach front.

Price negotiated is €14 (Euro) a day per van, to include 1 or 2 people and includes electricity (16amp) and wifi. A calendar month can be negotiated once you are there if you so wish. A figure of €360 has been mentioned but electric will then be charged separately, so that will not be far off the €14 anyway. We have negotiated €1.50 for dogs (half price, per day) for those staying for the full period.

* This is a pop 'in - out meeting.' there are no formal arrangements or travel plans. There is no commitment to stay the whole 3 weeks people can arrive at any point and stay as long or as short as they like. We are setting these weeks as a guideline to say that's when we are having the "do". Hopefully as we get nearer the time we can plan things to make sure everyone is fitted in. However, they are selling pitches for long stayers, so it cannot be ruled out that restriction on numbers will be applied. As already mentioned, we have an allocation of 30 spaces at present. Naturally, you can also come and go when you want and pay the normal site rates at times / dates that suit you subject to their availability in the event they do not agree to increase the numbers. Tonka and Mr Motorhome are in contact with Rudi (site manager) and are keeping him informed.

There is no commitment and no deposit, this is all being arranged with goodwill.

Note: we have been told the weekend of 28th Feb 2014 is 'Andalucía Day' a public holiday in this part of Spain (Malaga) and many sites will be very busy. This MotorhomeFUN gathering is to start on 5th - 25th March 2014 (three weeks)

Co-ordinates are :> 36.346224,-5.236574 or Mapcode: (Spain) kv8.cnq or Gps: N36 20.771 W5 14.185

You can visit the La Bella Vista web site HERE for more details regarding the facilities and services HERE for the campsite rules.

Looking forward to seeing you all there! :wine::wine:

wow that must have been some headache sorting that out  well done... looking forward to a great meet in the sun

Well done Steve and Andrew, thanks for all of the hard work you have put into organising this meet.:thumb:
Pam and I are currently at Marjal and will probably drive down to Manilva from here on Wednesday.
What time can those attending arrive at the Bella Vista site ??

Brisey.

We haven't been given any set arrival times but suspect most people will be getting there from midday onways... If there are any issues then there is some parking available outside the gates for people who show in the morning.
However we should sort things out pretty quick once we are there :thumb:
More update to follow....

Hello Brisey Gang,

It is around 7 hours drive (tolls) from Marjal to Manilva via the Granada route. I expect you can arrive anytime after around 9am - 12 pm ish on the 5th March or any other day.

Granada camp sites can be expensive if you are thinking of stopping there.:Eeek:

We are presently at Camping Torromelinos 1hr 40 mins from Manilva - we all like it here.

See ya soon :thumb:

Had a quick walk around - presently 6+ pitches available. Might be more after the weekend....we are planning to leave Tuesday the 4th March so three more pitches available. It is not a large camp site. Around €21 per night with 10% discount if you stay 3 days - with electrics and hot showers. Wifi extra.

Most important - small Funster bar. :Rofl1::Rofl1:

We are on our way

Left Marjal today after a lesson on how to play Scattergories last night, thanks to Brisey and Pamellar, watch out Grasscutter.
Just booked into Laguna Playa at Torre Del Mar and were ambushed by Pete (Knuckledragger) and the Gloworms, Eric and Sue.

Currently at Marjal where we arrived yesterday.

Leaving tomorrow and thinking of overnighting between Almeria and Velez-Malaga. Very windy today so if same tomorrow will travel at a gentler pace.

Look forward to meeting up with all.

Safe journies!

ONE DAY TO GO.....

Jim will soon be setting up a new Bella Vista 2014 thread, this will be a place where all those attending the rally can post notices, information, general banter etc..

SEE YOU ALL SOON.. :thumb:

Looking forward to seeing you all on the 20th, maybe a few pictures and weather updates would be good.

Now at Camping Valle Niza, just East of Malaga (using up some Camping Cheques) nice blue sky but chilly wind. Will be there in the morning around lunchtime I think.

It's 'Happy Hour' in the bar 5.30 tomorrow (Wednesday 5th March) - good place for everyone to meet, see you there. :welcome:

We are pitched on the right as you enter the site - you will see the 'Funster' flags. :thumb:

You will be asked to pay upfront for the length of your stay - the site is very busy so we may not all be placed together. Credit cards accepted. You will also be given your wi-fi details (username and password) and the 'code' for the gate entrance to the beach front.

On Friday evening it is 'Tubby Brown' (x-rated) tribute comedian - free entrance.

The sun is shining and our beers are ready  Looking forward to the FUN.

Tonka and MrMotorhome

Looking forward to it and the company. We will be arriving at around 4pm, need to go into 'can o lager' on the way past.
We are just north of Cordoba at the moment chilly winds but sunny!

See you tomorrow.:thumb:

Pancakes sounds great but think I would prefer a cup of tea. :thumb:

 Postponed due to windy weather, nice and sunny but that wind will blow the things away if we try to "toss" em....

Okay, van serviced and new front brake pads fitted today
Also fingers crossed all the irritating problems that have been delaying our departure are now sorted.
So, give the van a quick wash down tomorrow morning, (and by the end of the farm lane we live down it'll be as dirty as was before I cleaned it), and by mid-day we'll be on the road heading for Malaga.
I just hope the weather is going to be better than it is up here in the north of France.
