Am I right in thinking that I'd only need to buy the bottle once and then I can just refill it as and when I fancy? It really depends on how and where you use the vehicle.
If you use sites that have ehu and only the occasional cl or wild without ehu then refillable may not be cost effective.
However, if you mostly use off grid stops then refillable is probably for you.
It is certainly cheaper on gas , but as I say it really depends on how much you will use over a 12 month.
I think I'll go for refillable most likely.Yep, once bought the bottles are yours fill up as and when. Essential for foreign touring..
I've already filled up 3 times this year with about 100lt approx 50kg, hate to think how much that would have cost with exchange bottles.
No, they are a single hole bottle not very good for a perminant install as they have to be filled via the outlet, and you can't fit an external filler.I think I'll go for refillable most likely.
Is safefill the brand to buy?
I opted for safefill as I didn’t fancy drilling holes in a new van.I think I'll go for refillable most likely.

I have a Safefill and regret buying it. On its third fill the 80% cut off failed and the cylinder overfilled. I had to get advice from Basildog on how to release the excess gas. If I can contrive a visit to N Yorkshire I will get a proper system installed. I suggest you talk to Autogas 2000 about your options.I think I'll go for refillable most likely.

Yep. Charlie and his team are the best for sure.I have a Safefill and regret buying it. On its third fill the 80% cut off failed and the cylinder overfilled. I had Safefill but changed to Gaslow , reason being that I was finding more LPG stations were refusing the filling of standalone gas cylinders .I think I'll go for refillable most likely.

Might be a problem I don't think any carrier will take them you can only ship new unused ones even then via very few carriers.I've got 2 brand new gaslow gas bottles for sale both never used or fitted & both have easy view level sensors fitted 1 is 11kg (rrp £200) 1 is 8kg (rrp £190) I'll let them both go for £200 all You'll need after that is the hoses and filler cap.... bargain
Problem is im in Ireland and not sure how I can send these across the shuck (presuming your in Angleterre? ) but if you can think of how to shift them they're yours for 200 quid

Yea I think your right Lenny, hence I haven't stuck them up on our classifieds section here on the site, but a bargain if someone was either over here on holiday or lived hereMight be a problem I don't think any carrier will take them you can only ship new unused ones even then via very few carriers.
Convenience is more important than cost effectiveness. If you use sites that have ehu and only the occasional cl or wild without ehu then refillable may not be cost effective.
We have 3 Safefill. Only go on short trips with the lowest bottle.I don't really like the idea of potentially going on trips without knowing how much gas is there.
We only ever fill them from empty - and specify 18 litres, please.I have a Safefill and regret buying it. On its third fill the 80% cut off failed and the cylinder overfilled. I had to get advice

If they're not sold (very possible as I'm not really trying to sell them) but if not I could maybe throw them in the van for you when I'm next travelling through Blighty and arrange to get them to youI wished I was coming over to Ireland I would purchase those from you![]()
