Shell LPG

Which are the 3 you have already tried. Filllpg shows the Esso on the A36 as having LPG with an update on the 27 July.
A36 ? Will have to see where that is 😀
looks like Bath....a bit far maybe

It runs from Southampton to Salisbury right along the edge of the New Forest. The fuel station is just a little bit N of the M27. You do not need to go as far as Bath.

thanks, trying to get the filllpg site to show me...

I think it is West Wellow service station and not West Willow. If that helps.

It is South of West Wellow and gives it’s location as Ower (Esso). The BP just North of West Wellow does not do lpg.

The Flogas website is showing this one. You would hope that the supplier site more up to date than the apps.
It does show pumped gas on the actual page.
I think this is bottle gas only now.
SHELL TITCHFIELD 264 SOUTHAMPTON ROAD, PO14 4BB, FAREHAM,
is still active

Harlow was my usual stop now if I going north I will use the services at Birchanger on the m11/a120 junction
Just called into Birchanger for LPG ... the pump is not working properly due to lack of maintenance according to staff and will shortly be removed.

I can confirm that the Flogas pump should be fixed at Asda High Wycombe just off M40/A404. This was always my preferred pump due to prices. I haven't actually used it, but a cashier confirmed it was operational today.

Can definitely confirm this is working. At 52.7p a litre! My new underslung 23 litre tank took 18.20 litres, rather than the 18.40 it should have. I can't have been too far out on the mounting angle! 10kg of propane for £9.59.

Frankiej have you managed to get your LPG yet? I called in and filled up at the Esso on the A36 near Ower yesterday. Fully operational. The pump is on the right hand side of the forecourt and has good access.

not yet, thanks for the info. I may go that way on my next trip.

Bury St Edmunds To Thetford Suffolk, Flo-Gas available at the small garage on the left as you enter Thetford

If you are this way ( Thetford ) at all, the Harvester garage on the bury Road does LPG, and there is a main Calor depot at Bury St Edmunds I have used ( always cheaper than garage out lets ).. The addy is:
Newmarket Rd, Risby, Bury Saint Edmunds IP28 6QY

Spotted two LPG pumps yesterday - used the first then spotted the second when we stopped for lunch: Morrisons at Boroughbridge then Moto services A1(M) at Wetherby. One of "my" pumps disappeared last year. M6 Services at Tebay.

My nearest is about 7 miles away in Buntingford at a BP fuel station.

Baldock Rd, Buntingford SG9 9EG

Update on Flogas
No point in me taking out a "Key Account" down here in leafy Surrey as there are not enough LPG pumps available, 24 hour ones would be a pipe dream.
As for the Flogas LPG Map, once you have sifted out all the bottle suppliers, the only one flagged up is in Cambridge, which I would also verify by phone.
The other one flagged up was near Woking on an ind estate, this also proved to be a bottle only supplier.
Disappointed as I had my hopes up initially, by their quick response, and key account app form, sent next day.

You are looking at this the wrong way ! 😂
You fill on your journey not look for the ones in your area as people have already said it’s only certain areas that are short on pumps 👍

Hopefully more campsites might pick up on our need. Like Henlow Bridge who allow filling from their gas tank

It would have to be a long journey then, even after expanding map to max 50 mile radius Flogas map only shows Cambridge.
Its sods law that most of the LPG garages especially Morrisons seem to be up north, and weighbridges are two a penny also up there.
I agree with what you say, we normally fill up whilst on a trip somewhere, its worrying though, as I mentioned before, most of the places we have found in the past have been motorway or main trunk road Shell Stations, and a couple of BP.
We will have to remain eagle eyed on our journeys, as the apps are so unreliable nowadays.
Thanks for sharing your experience & tips.(y)

Gas-it do an hose to fit a bottle to a gas tank for emergency if you cannot find a fill up point

The Filllpg map can be very slow to populate when you zoom in but is usually far more up to date for UK sites than myLPG.eu

The diversion to Ower is not a great distance and since the direct route takes you through lots of narrow New Forest roads it probably won’t cost you much time, if any, to take it. From Cadnam take the M27 instead of the road through the Forest. Go to the first exit and follow the signs for the A36 towards Salisbury (first exit from the roundabout above the motorway). There is short bit of dual carriageway that ends at a roundabout and the Esso LPG station is directly off the roundabout, sharing a site with MacDonalds. Go straight onto the forecourt the LPG pump is on the right hand side of the forecourt. When you have filled go back round the roundabout and take the A36 to Salisbury. You will very soon be back on the shortest route and have missed some narrow roads as well.

Bulford would take you further off your direct route. There is an LPG pump at Codford which is on the direct route to Trowbridge but it is account only and you will need get a Flogas Key Card in advance, it is at the Hillside Cafe. There are 2 sites in Salisbury but one is Shell and due for decommissioning (plus a low bridge from the A36 slip road) and the other looks awkward to get to.

Thanks, realised yesterday I drive past it on my way to work in Romsey!
still quite a bit out of my way going to Trowbridge, so I think I’ll try for either the Christchurch one or Salisbury... Or I may change my mind on Saturday. Driving through Lyndhurst at weekend at this time of year is a nightmare!
