dont own one yet.
My guess is that the pain will not be the seven euro’s they want, it will be the other things they want from you, it’s not going to apply to me but the rest of my family unfortunately yes …….

Should add if it works out like the US system it also doesn't need to be valid for your entire trip, just entry period too. ie, you could enter france at 2 years and 364 days .... and still be valid.

Just spotted this:

And it lasts multiple years for both. Can't see a problem really personally.

It isn't the 7 euros you need to worry about but the 3 hours or so added time exiting . I fail to see how it can possibly work anywhere but an airport.certainly not a JIT port like Dover.
& it doesn't even apply to my only that I will be caught up in the shambolic time taken

Mrs B has an Irish passport. I don't. Can imagine we will experience problems going to the wrong queue.

No doubt things will eventually settle down.

Doesn't apply to septuagenarian and above so I don't give a toss .... this probably will be the same for majority of Funsters. :whistle2:
Yes it does. Still need the visa. It's just free to over 70s.

Seems fair. I have my USA Esta don’t mind having one for the EU although I think 70 or over and it’s free. We should set up a similar system.

It doesn't apply to us....we are EU residents...

Perhaps not....phew...will we have to queue to return to Europe...wait and see..it's going to be interesting...,,🇪🇺
