Serious Question: Should we allow Caravan Tuggers to join this club?

I'm not that bothered but while they encounter similar issues I thought the clue was in the name.

MOTORHOMEfun

Are you going to rename it CaravanandMotorhomefun as well

Read from the start .......

Seriously, we've never been bothered. Our first rally in October 2007 we had 30+ft RVs, white motorhomes in all shapes and sizes, a caravan and a trailer tent. Motorhomefun has always been more about the people rather than what they turn up in. We always have caravans on our rally fields.

But think how nice the page heading would look with "Motorhome Fun. By Royal Appointment" on it!

They've joined

Wouldn't it be a bit confusing. Someone might innocently join and ask about aires etc, we might all reply then find out later they have a caravan so cant use aires, unless you put vehicle type back on Avatar.

Consider where we are, two forums Motorhomefun and RVOC so why not a third Caravanfun ? Those that then wish to sign up to either as I do could discuss topics with other travellers as many things are common to all.

Stopped shaking now NO NO NO

I don't think the group would gain anything however, maybe a separate forum for them?
MotorhomeFun, CaravanFun etc could work. It could be beneficial to members though, say for instance MHF has 150,000 registered members and CaravanFun got to the same sort of number, it becomes quite easy for you to "Bully" insurance companies etc etc to offer exclusive deals to members (They would do it I am sure given the combined might of the JimboFun group!) They could be passed on to members which again would help to recruit new members!

See #38,

If it was a closed shop... "Motorhome owners only"....

What would happen to the quite a few that don`t even have a motorhome, let alone a caravan or a trailer tent....

Would we get a "REFUND" on our subscriptions if we were booted out..???? :Eeek:

Leave it to anyone who wants to pay and join or join and pay.....:nod::nod:(y)

My Vehicle Registration Document has my Chausson down as a Motor Caravan so we’re all Caravanners really!

May be 50% discount as they can only sleep and live in half of the outfit !

and there is always (how to avoid being gassedfun) that seems to attract lots of views

With 3,739 posts on the "learn to crochet" thread I would have thought that the obvious new forum for Jim to set up would be "Crochetfun"!
There would be a lot more money in it! The learn to crochet video below has had 12M views on YouTube.

Problem with allowing Tuggers to join is where do you draw this line ? Surely the crew in the photo below could be classed as Tuggers? Very environmentally friendly ones at that too ! Bet they don't have to worry about any pollution charges.

But really, would we lower the bar just to let them join ?

No.... ?... I suggest that there are sufficient tugging sites and will possibly make this excellent site more confusing for both users? Forexample a popular and repeated thread is around the use of aires, not much use to a tugger but often linked in many discussions across a huge range of subjects?
